Seeing the massive wet patch on the back of Luke's shirt and the glass shards scattered over his shoes, Eleanor felt an overwhelming surge of indignation. The conversation she had originally intended to have with Harold and Victoria today was now completely ruined.

She crouched down to pick the glass shards off Luke's shoes. Catching sight of this, Harold looked deeply embarrassed. "Eileen has been a bit highly strung lately. Luke, please try to be more forgiving of her."

Eleanor looked toward Arthur, but Arthur didn't seem the least bit bothered. He continued to belittle Luke right in front of Harold. "Luke is getting more and more stubborn, and he clearly doesn't know how to watch his mouth. His clumsy words just upset Eileen."

After offering a few more placating words to Harold, they finally took their leave.

As soon as they returned home, Eleanor rushed Luke upstairs to change his clothes, unleashing all her pent-up frustration onto Arthur.

"Before, when she had her episodes, she would hurt herself or the women she was jealous of. Now she's directly attacking Luke! How can this go on? We absolutely cannot go through with this marriage. Even if she's 'cured' this time, we can't do it! Who knows when she'll relapse again?!"

In just a few short days, this was already the third time Eileen had thrown something at Luke. Once it was a phone, then a lamp, and now a glass full of water.

Every single time, the Harper family just asked Luke to be understanding. If it were any other woman, Eleanor would have loved nothing more than to storm up and slap her across the face.

Eileen might be Harold and Victoria's precious treasure, but Luke was her own flesh and blood!

"Let them talk! I don't care! I will not just stand here and push my son into a blazing fire." Eleanor was entirely fed up with her husband's constant corporate calculations.

Seeing that his wife was becoming increasingly agitated, Arthur had no choice but to speak gently to calm her down. "Don't panic. I'll find the right moment in a few days to slowly bring this up with Mr. Harper."

That evening, Luke was preparing to return to San Francisco.

Arthur stopped him.

"This is a critical moment, and we absolutely cannot give them any leverage. Until the Harper family officially proposes breaking the engagement, you are strictly forbidden from seeking out that woman! And stay the hell away from other women, too."

Luke nodded in silence. His real concern was what exactly Eileen was planning to do. Right now, not contacting Sophie was the best way to protect her.
