I was his allergen she was his cure what if this allergen turns lethal? novel Chapter 72

Chapter 9

I blew my nose hard, dabbing at my eyes.

“Michael, as long as you come back, I can forgive anything you’ve done.”

“You can’t have kids anymore. Your only son is here with me. Are you really going to abandon us?”

To drive the point home, I even displayed his medical report.

“I shouldn’t have lied to you before,” I sobbed, voice breaking.

“I told you there was nothing wrong with you. I thought since we already had a child, you didn’t need to worry about it.”

At first, I had intended to play the victim for effect.

But as I spoke, the emotions overwhelmed me, and the tears became real.

I had loved Michael for so many years, losing myself in the process.

When we were dating, he showered me with sweet words.

After we married, he fulfilled my every wish.

But in the end, he plotted to kill me for Alice.

How much did he have to hate me to go that far?

I bit down hard on my lip, choking back the sobs as I said, “Come back, Michael. Your son and I need you.”

After ending the livestream, I cried for what felt like forever.

With that, whatever love I had for him was finally, completely gone.

The first to find me wasn’t the media-it was David.

It had been so long since I’d seen him, but he looked nothing like the teenager he was.

He already appeared older, as though the stress had aged him into his thirties.

I regarded him with cold indifference.

“What do you want?”

“You-” he began, but tears streamed down his face before he could finish.

“Is what you said online true? Is Dad never coming back?”

I stared at the same son who had killed me in my past life.

His tears didn’t stir any sympathy this time.

Without answering, I motioned for my bodyguards to escort him out.

“Why don’t you ask him yourself? After all, you two talk on the phone all the time, don’t you?”

David froze.

“How do you know?”

Even his grandparents, who lived with him, didn’t know that he borrowed strangers’ phones to call Michael.

How did I find out?

“Were you spying on me? Or him?” he demanded.

“That’s none of your business,” I replied flatly.

My calm demeanor finally broke through his façade, and he exploded.

“You’re so cold! A heartless machine! That’s why Dad left you!”

“You’ve ruined him online, and what good has it done? He’s not coming back.”

He was right.

I was cold.

Because the person who had given them everything in my previous life was killed by them in return.

This time, I wouldn’t allow myself to let my guard down, not even for a second.

I closed my eyes and signaled for him to be removed.

Online, the comments and live chat scrolled endlessly, accusing me of being a pathetic doormat who deserved to be betrayed.

But only a few minutes later, footage emerged of Michael abroad, escorting Alice to a prenatal appointment.

In the video, Michael carefully steadied her.

“Be careful. There’s ice. Don’t slip.”

Alice leaned in and kissed him.

“I’m so lucky to have you.”

Michael smiled.

“Don’t worry. I’ll always be here for you. Once Emma’s out of the picture, we can finally live in peace.”

I closed the video, unsure what I felt.

The only thing that cheered me was knowing that Michael would soon discover the child wasn’t his.

David still didn’t understand-I wasn’t trying to lure Michael back.

I just wanted his exact location.

When I paid off his debts previously, I only froze his bank loans.

I left the private lenders untouched.

The day after I learned his whereabouts, several debt collection agencies traveled to Switzerland.

I couldn’t kill him, but others could.
