Chapter 66 Tailing Her

Finished

Nevin, who had been “working overtime, sat alone in the driver’s seat, occasionally glancing at his watch.

As time passed, his expression darkened

It was almost nine o’clock, but Demi still hadn’t left work

Did she even realize she was pregnant? How could she dare overwork herself like this?

During the day. Joe had tracked Demi’s schedule.

She arrived at the office at eight in the morning, and except for meetings with partners, she moved continuously in and out of the building.

As nine o’clock approached. Nevin couldn’t help but call her.

But she didn’t pick up.

He called several more times. Just as he was about to get out and check the building, he saw Demi emerge, looking down at her vibrating phone before turning it off.

Nevin glanced at his still-dialing phone and laughed in disbelief.

It wasn’t that she was busy; she just didn’t want to answer his call.

Demi gave a few instructions to Lewis and then got into the car beside her.

The warm interior lights turned on. Nevin could see her leaning back tiredly with her eyes closed, resting.

She had no idea Nevin’s car had been tailing her this whole time. Pregnancy had left her with less energy than before, and occasional nausea came with it.

Her taste preferences changed-sometimes even a hint of meat made her want to vomit, yet at other times she craved fish or beef.

Yet when food was placed in front of her, the smell could trigger nausea.

She could barely eat much, but fortunately, the baby seemed to love sweets.

She was fine with cakes or pastries. Therefore, Lewis thoughtfully placed some desserts nearby during work, so she could snack when hungry.

Demi rested her eyes until they reached Snow Mansion

Her delicate hand lightly rested on her abdomen. A fain smile appeared at the corner of her lips.

This one should be a little girl.

Nevin watched her enter Snow Mansion but didn’t follow.

He didn’t know why, but after spending an hour waiting downstairs at the Snow Group for Demi, he didn’t go in to see her when she came out.

He just silently sent her off, and somehow, he felt an inexplicable sense of peace.

Chapter 66 Talling Her

Meanwhile, at Blackwell Villa, Orion was ready to wash up and go to bed.

However, Rhea still wanted to play with him, unwilling leave so soon.

Helga rolled her eyes, on the verge of telling her off.

“Ms. Dunn, Mr. Onion is still young and growing. Please don’t delay his rest.”

Helga’s sarcasm was obvious as Nevin returned home.

Hearing the noise, Orion ran ahead to greet Nevin.

Rhea tucked her hair behind her ears, too lazy to deal with Helga, and followed Orion down with a polite

‘Dad, is Mom still not home tonight?” Orion asked, looking at Nevin’s back.

“She has some things to finish. Once she’s done, she’ll be back.”
