Nevin went downstairs and saw Orion sitting at the breakfast table. Orion called out dazedly. “Dad.”

“Sir. Mr. Orion seems to be in a bad mood..” Helga whispered from the side.

Nevin raised an eyebrow, assuming Onion was still upset about Demi yesterday.

He didn’t think much of it. finished his breakfast, and went to the company. He continued his routine from yesterday-first delivering the batch of fresh fruits that had arrived by air that morning, then sending freshly made pastries and snacks to Demi throughout the morning

By noon. Helga called. ‘Sir, something’s wrong with Mr. Orion. He hasn’t spoken all morning. He won’t eat the lunch I made, just sits playing with his toys. Nothing I do can cheer him up…

Helga handed the phone to Orion. ‘Orion, your dad is on the phone. He’s looking for you.

“He is listening. Do you want to ask him if he’s coming home for lunch?” Helga coaxed.

Nevin’s voice came through the phone, but Orion didnrespond.

“Onion, speak!

Nevin called out a few times, growing impatient.

Onion still didn’t answer, but suddenly, he burst into tears. Helga scrambled to comfort him.

Nevin frowned and hung up, instinctively trying to call Demi.

Sorry, the number you are trying to reach is busy…”

Every call gave the same message.

Nevin pinched the bridge of his nose. “Has she blocked me?”

He was frustrated, knowing that there was not a thing he could do about this.

About half an hour later, Helga called in a panic. Orion Bad been crying for half an hour.

Nevin rushed back home. Orion’s eyes were red, and he sat there pouting and sniffling.

“Stop crying. Go wash your face. Tonight I’ll take you to see Mom.”

Seeing Orion so miserable, Nevin couldn’t resist and decided in his heart.

“Really?”

Orion sniffled, barely trusting his dad anymore.

Nevin had lied to him several times.

“If you don’t believe me, keep crying.”
