Inferno Demon Riders MC: My Five Obsessed Bullies novel Chapter 118

Blythe’s POV

– Flashback Age, 20-

Thankfully, a short while later, Daniel and Sean’s parents left so that Sean could go to a meeting across town. They spent a bit of time chatting before Lisa reminded Sean about said meeting. Now I know, in great detail, exactly what happens during these “last–minute business trips“.

I waited a few minutes after everyone left before peeking out of the closet. When I verified that no one was around, I rushed to the bathroom attached to Sean’s office. I barely made it to the toilet before throwing up everything in my gut. I sat there, panting and crying for a few moments.

What am I going to do? How many people know about this? Everyone? Maria? No, I seriously doubted that Maria knew. Although, I’m apparently not a very good judge of character.

I thought Sean was my friend. I thought that… it was real… None of it was. All of it was… staged. The whole thing. The hell I’d been living in for years…

It all makes so much sense now. Daniel being so accepting of Sean. Sean being able to do anything he wanted with me. The immediate yes to a date. The immediate alone time. Sneaking in the night before our wedding. Ugh… Lisa… was she serious about that? Did he even shower before sticking his di.ck in me? At least he always uses a condom, I guess.

I can’t believe this was/is my life. How could I have been so stupid? The signs were all right in front of me…

Daniel only got custody of me because Sean saw me. Apparently in a library. I spent a lot of time at the local library. My grades were about all I had thanks to Everly. The guys rarely ever went there. Everly definitely never did. It was just by chance that Sean saw me.

And that one glance sentenced me for the rest of my life.

Instead of talking to me like a normal person, Sean had me kidnapped and…. trained. He whipped me. He ordered everything that was done to me. He… ruined me. He ruined my life. He put me through hell. Literal hell. And all for what? So that he could play some kind of hero in my tragic story?

If I had never found… he would have been. If I hadn’t come here today, he’d probably have gotten away with it. Maybe. Apparently, they were counting on the fact that I would forever be a tortured shut–in. Too afraid of the sun to step foot out of my castle.

They’re counting on the fact that I have nowhere to go too. And they’re right about that. I have no one to turn to. I don’t trust the club for a fu.cking second. Hell, I won’t ever trust a soul again! Not after this. Not after everything I’ve been through.

But they were wrong about one thing. There’s no way in hell that I’m staying. Absolutely no way. But I need to play my cards right. Sean has a lot of power and money. If they find out that I know… If I ever get caught… It’ll be so much worse than it ever was before.

I gave myself another moment before slipping my scarf and sunglasses back on. Then I made sure to clean up any evidence that I was here. I slipped out of the building just as easily as I came in. I hailed a taxi and I went home in silence. I felt numb, hardened.

My life is over. It was over so long ago. No one has ever had my back. No one has ever cared. I’ve been nothing but a toy to everyone all my life. Shoved around. Used and discarded. Unwanted. Unloved. Useless. Beaten and broken down.

I made it inside the house, my body on autopilot. I paused, my head feeling dizzy. I slipped my sunglasses off and the scarf, letting them clatter to the floor.

Why is this happening to me? Why me? Why? Why? Why?

“Mrs. Dixon, you’re back,” Maria said once she noticed me standing in the middle of the hall between the door and the living room. “How did Mr. Dixon like the food? Was he surprised to see you? I didn’t expect you to be gone so long.”

My lips parted, but no words came out. I wasn’t sure what to say or do. I felt like the ground had been swiped from under me, and I was still falling to my doom. I was still struggling to wrap my head around it all. Sean knew who I was. He was the reason Daniel fought for me. My mother gave me up easily. Everyone I’ve ever thought cared about me has betrayed me in the worst possible way.

Could I trust Maria? Could I trust myself?

“Mrs. Dixon? Are you alright?” Maria asked as she came closer.

“Maria, listen to me carefully, please,” I pleaded with her. “I heard more than just cheating. Sean is not who we think he is. When I leave, he’s going to piece together that I found out the truth. He’s going to start to show his true colors. I can’t have you getting caught in the crossfire.

Please, just trust me on this.” After a moment, Maria finally nodded. The next several hours were spent with us planning. Maria had a history running from her abusive ex, who died shortly before getting this job. Sean, of course, has more power and money, but she gave me some decent tips.

Never stay in one place too long, always keep moving, get paid under the table, protect yourself at all times. We even made a plan of where we would go. Opposite directions, of course. Maria was actually going to go back to Texas near the border to live with her mother again. I broke into Sean’s safe to get us both some money.

More than enough for Maria to leave on such short notice like this. She deserved it, and Sean can fu.ck right off. After everything he put me through, he can help me get started on my journey far away from him. I had a duffle bag packed with a few changes of clothes and some other things I might need. It was waiting in the closet. All I had to do now was wait for Sean to come home.

I had to play dumb, and I knew that I was going to have to sleep with him. Just thinking about it made my skin crawl. I’d do it though. To get away from him. To get my freedom back.Even if it killed me a little inside. Shortly after Maria and I were done, the front door opened. Sean greeted us and I did my best to act normal. He was too late for dinner, but quickly whisked me away to our bedroom.

My heart was pounding in my chest as he pinned me to the closed door. “I have to run out of town for a few days,” he told me. “I’m sorry, baby doll.” “It’s okay,” I replied with what I hoped was a normal smile. “I’ll miss you.” “Yeah?” he asked, running his hands down my body. “Show me how much you’ll miss me.” I swallowed hard and was just about to drop to my knees when Sean’s phone started to ring.

I nearly sighed in relief when he pulled it out to look at the screen. Sean’s face went hard as he spun around to answer the call. “What?” he answered. Pause. “Right now? I thought I had an hour?” Another pause. “But I…” he trailed off before a short pause.

“I get to come back early then,” Sean stated. “You’re taking me away from my wife, very last minute.” Pause. “Yes, I’ll pack a bag and be there right away.” Sean ended the call as he spun around to face me, giving me a sad smile. “I wanted a few more minutes with you, but it seems I have to go,” he told me.

“Pack for me while I shower?” I nodded, giving him a smile. He kissed my head before slipping into our bathroom. I blew out a breath before I started packing for him. I was saved tonight somehow. And after Sean left, I was starting my new life. One that I control. And I will never, ever let anyone in again. Never. I’ll die before trusting another soul in this lifetime.
