Chapter 162
Chapter 162
Harper
I stepped back into the corridor again, moving as far away as I could from the entrance of that furniture store.
After what I’d done to Grayson, there was no way he was going to immediately come after me. Still, I wanted as much distance as possible between us.

Neither Ella nor Zoey replied to my texts and even when I called them, they didn’t pick up.The mall was so huge and had several floors that I didn’t know where to start.
I didn’t want to look like I was lost, so I moved around with ease as I looked in all directions around me.
I stopped in my tracks when I spotted a sign leading to the restroom. I needed to use it anyway, so I began to head towards that direction. There was a narrow passage that would lead me to the restrooms and when I walked through it and turned at the corner, I found Zoey and Aiden kissing passionately.
It was so unexpected that I gasped, making her push him away.
“Harper!” she said with a heavy breath, her eyes wide open. “It’s not what it looks like!”
Aiden waved at me with a smile as he stood beside her, his lips now stained with her purple lipstick. “It’s definitely what it looks like.”
I could only blink with raised eyebrows as I looked back at Zoey, who shut her eyes tightly like she’d been caught doing something she wasn’t supposed to.
Snapping out of it, I said, “I didn’t even know I’d find you guys here. I was just heading to the ladies‘ room.”
Neither of them even said anything in response to what I had just said.
When she opened her eyes, they landed right on him, like she knew where exactly he’d be. I couldn’t read her expression from where I was, but he smirked at her as began to walk away.
“I’ll call you when I get home. You better pick up.”
She didn’t nod in agreement. She just watched him as he walked away.
When he walked past me, he said, “I better go and find my brother. He might’ve been as lucky with Ella as I was over here.”
Zoey shut her eyes again, like hearing that was far from what had happened.
After he was out of sight, I approached her while shaking my head. I wasn’t judging her. I only intended to tease her.
“Damn, that was quite a sight to see.”
She huffed, grabbing my hand and pulling me along with her into the ladies‘ room.
She let my hand go right by the sinks, ruffling her hair as she said, “What you saw was an accident.”
My head tilted with a scoff. “So, your tongue just slipped into his mouth by accident? And the way you had your hands in his hair was also an accident? For someone who’s been acting like she wants nothing to do with Aiden, you were all over him like you didn’t want that moment to end.”
“It’s just…we….shit!” She whispered.
She was about to explain herself when one of the stalls opened and a lady stepped out.

I glanced at Zoey, who signaled to me to wait for the lady to leave.
As soon as the door closed, I stepped closer, “Well?”
weren’t
“When Ella and I left you there, we were still holding hands. It turns out we weren’t as fast as we thought because Aiden and Adrian caught up quickly. Aiden told me he just wanted to talk, but Ella said no on my behalf. She even warned Adrian not to even think about it.”
The way Zoey’s expression softened before she continued made me understand her,
“But you definitely wanted to talk to Aiden after he asked.”
She nodded firmly. “Ella got mad at me when I pulled my hand away from hers. She didn’t want me to go, but I thought there was no harm in listening to what Aiden had to say. The last thing I saw was her pushing Adrian away before leaving. He still followed her with so much amusement. I wonder what happened afterwards. Anyway, Aiden wanted to talk, so he brought me here.”
She went silent after pressing her lips together, making me raise my eyebrows.
“Well?” I asked.
“We didn’t even talk. He just pinned me against the wall with a hand on my as he waited. I know I shouldn’t have, but I grabbed his face and kissed him first!”
I gasped loudly. “OMG! That definitely wasn’t an accident. Just look at you. You’re blushing.”
She gently hit my shoulder. “Shut up.”
“It’s written all over your face.”
“Just stop.” She wiped the smile off her face as she sighed. “Are you disappointed?”
“No. I’m actually happy for you. Adrian does seem like he’s really fallen for you and wants you guys to work things out.”
“Should I go for it?” She gritted her teeth. “Ella will be so mad if I-”
“So what if she gets mad at you? Just because she’s pushing Adrian away doesn’t mean you should do the same thing. Do what your heart desires.”
She wrapped her arms around me and squeezed me gently. “Thanks! You’re the best. Who knew that coming here today would be one of the best days I’ve had in a while?”
“Definitely not for me.” I pouted on her shoulder.
“Yeah, it can’t be the same after meeting Grayson here.”
“Not only that. He tried to kiss me.”
She gasped as she broke the hug. Firmly holding onto my arms. What? How? When?”
I told her about what had happened in that store and when I mentioned the knee to his balls and how I left, she laughed with satisfaction.
“That’s what he deserves! You should’ve done it again!” Her amusement instantly faded and was replaced with curiosity when she asked her next question. “So…how did you feel?”
“What do you mean?”
“Come on. You know what I mean and I want the truth. You fantasized about him for years, how he’d kiss you, bend you
