There was a look of conviction in his eyes that showed he wasn't going to back down no matter what the outcome eventually was.
I sent him a slow nod of my head. "Fine then. I accept your offer."
His shoulders sagged in relief at my words. "Well then."
He got out of the car and made his way to my side. Holding out a hand to me, he gently led me out of the car.
"Are you ready, my lady?" He asked.
"Lead the way." I smiled.
With that, we made our way into the building. The whole place was live with the glitz and glamour that spoke volumes of an extravagant party that was being held.
It was pretty obvious that only the crème of the crop was present here. I doubted any other class of people would be allowed here.
As we made our way into the room, a man approached us. He was dressed in an English suit that looked tailored to perfection. His dirty blonde hair fell over part of his face, strands shielding part of his face.
"Moon God." He gasped in surprise. "Quentin and Thea. I can't believe you're actually dating."
I thought about correcting him when I saw the look ln Quentin's face. The man was a business rival to him. They'd been competing for years now and even had a pretty good personal relationship with each other.
Soon enough, a crowd had started gathering around us. I tried to put on a calm front, my grip on Quentin's hand still firm. He never let go of me throughout everything.
"Wow. They look like such a nice couple."
"I know right."
"You look really beautiful, Thea." A woman came up to me, a look of admiration in her eyes.
"I love your outfit, Thea." Another man piped up.
The compliments continued to trickle in like that. Some of them mumbled and murmured their own comments about us.
"So Quentin's finally come out of his shadow, huh?" A man chuckled. "I finally get to meet the she-wolf he's been trying to hide from the world."
I found it a bit surprising watching their reactions and how they all seemed surprised seeing me and Quentin together like this.
Having a kind of alliance with him would actually solidify our standing before them and make them recognize what we stood for.
They seemed like they had been expectant of us coming out to them. The pack's operating funds had its future in our hands. This meant that whatever happened now would greatly shape how things would move from now.
