Violet is a woman I will make mine at all cost
Hades
I watched her figure retreat, the sway of her hips as she walked away, and a dark chuckle rumbled from my chest.
Fuck, that woman.
Desire burned inside me. Every time she pushed me away, every time she fought me, it only made me want her more. I wanted to drag her back in here, bend her over the table, and fuck the fire right out of her. Tame that mouth, and that defiance, until all she could do was scream my name.
My tongue swept across my lower lip.
The sound of footsteps pulled me from the thought. Naomi entered, her face soft but her eyes sharp with disappointment. Without a word, she handed me a small towel. I took it, wiping the water from my face, then running it through my soaked hair.
She sighed. “Are you really going through this route, Mr. Hades?”
There was hurt in her tone, as though she expected better from me. I’d met Naomi when I was five, she’d been my nanny back then. By that time, so many others had already quit because of me.
I thought it was fun to mess with them, and frustrate them until they couldn’t take it anymore and left. I’d driven almost everyone away. But no matter what I did to annoy Naomi, she never left. She was the first person who treated me like a normal kid. Maybe that’s why she became one of the few people I ever let into my life.
I stood, tossing the damp towel aside, my gaze still fixed on the door Violet had just walked out of. My head tilted, and a grin curved my lips.
“Violet is different,” I said, my voice low. “Unlike other women, she doesn’t give a damn about my money or my name. The only way she’ll ever be with me is if she falls for me.”
Naomi frowned, but I continued, eyes gleaming with hunger.
“And I don’t have the time for that. So, there are two ways this can go. Either I make her walk to me with her own two feet, by giving her a deal she can’t refuse…”
I licked my lips again, savoring the thought.
“Or I take her by force.”
A low chuckle slipped past my teeth. “God, I love the second option. But knowing her, she’d make me regret it. Either way, Violet is a woman I’ll make mine at any cost.”

Violet
The door clicked shut behind me, and I exhaled, the morning breeze brushing across my skin and tugging at my hair. I lifted a hand to smooth it back, inhaling deeply.
I never lost control. Even when I was angry, I kept it buried, and hidden where no one could see. That was who I was. So what the hell was wrong with me today?
Back then, Matthew had done far worse to me than Hades ever had, and yet I’d never poured a drink on him. I’d never even raised my voice. I always thought there was no point in repaying bad with bad. I would just walk away, and avoid them. But with Hades, it was different. He hadn’t done half of what Matthew had, but he got under my

skin so fast, that I didn’t even hesitate. My hand had moved before my brain had caught up.
I’d drenched him without a second thought.
My eyes slid shut. Even if I could go back in time, I’d do it again.
“That crazy asshole,” I muttered under my breath.
“It seems like you finally have an idea of who he is.”
The low voice startled me. My heart lurched, and I spun around.
Alec.
The six–foot–tall man stood in front of me, white hair falling messily over his forehead, his hands tucked into the pockets of his blue jacket. He looked like he’d just stepped out of a dream, his lips curved into a small smile.
Of course. Around Hades, everyone was either too beautiful, handsome, or both. And Alec was both.
My throat felt dry. For some reason, whenever he was near, I felt an odd sense of calmness like I could finally breathe.
I hated it.
I looked away, not wanting to meet those eyes.
He hadn’t said it outright, but he’d hinted enough times that getting involved with Hades was dangerous. And yet, he never told me the one thing that mattered most, Hades Sinclair was Matthew’s father.
So what was the plan? To let me walk into this blind? To let me humiliate myself while they watched me like some poor circus act?
I must have looked so damn stupid.
I swallowed hard, lifting my chin and forcing my voice to steady. “You’re just as much of an ass as he is.” My hands curled into fists at my sides. “I hope you two had fun playing with me, because I’ve had enough.”
I turned, ready to leave, but his hand closed around mine.
I froze.
The touch was gentle, but it sent a strange shiver up my arm.
I slowly looked back at him.
His eyes met mine. “I never thought of you as a game, Miss Violet.” His thumb brushed lightly across the back of my hand before he released me. “And I apologize if Hades’s actions or mine hurt you. We didn’t mean you any harm.”
I stared at him, frowning, my chest tightening in frustration. God, how was I supposed to stay angry at him when he apologized so genuinely?
It wasn’t fair.
I sighed, rubbing a hand over my face. “It’s okay, and thank you for apologizing. I’m just tired. I need to go home.”
“That’s why I came out,” he said simply.
I blinked, watching as he strolled toward the black car parked in front. He pulled the door open, then looked back
