"That's enough." Edmond's face darkened with terrifying rage. "Do you not understand English? Get out."

Juliette froze, the tears falling harder. "You're yelling at me? Over her? She's married to someone else! She never even liked you! I'm the only one who stayed by your side, and you refuse to see it!"

Edmond lashed out, sweeping his coffee mug off the desk. It shattered against the wall, black coffee splattering across the floor.

Juliette stumbled back in terror.

"Did you think I didn't know?" Edmond stalked toward her, towering over her with bloodshot eyes. "You were the one who ordered Dorian Chase to hit Nora with that car, weren't you? You lied and said Dorian acted on his own, letting him take the fall and go to prison for you."

Juliette's face drained of color.

"Nora lost her hearing for a year. Do you know what that year was like for her?" His voice cracked with raw emotion. "She couldn't hear sound. She couldn't hear music. Because of your sick jealousy, she lost the thing she loved most for an entire year."

"Shut up."

Edmond turned away, walking to the window. He kept his back to her, his voice dropping low. "I used to think you were just young and spoiled. I thought your tantrums were harmless. But now I know the truth. You aren't just spoiled. You're rotten. You're vicious, and you're completely irredeemable."

"Now you want to blame me?" Juliette was losing her mind with jealousy, but she knew exactly where to twist the knife. "Were you thinking about any of this when you were vacationing with me in France?"
