Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 305

Arthur glanced at them, his expression utterly deadpan. "Two against one? You sure about that?"

Harvey frowned, his gaze instinctively flicking toward the wrecked van.

There were a few of Silas's useless men still inside the vehicle, but he had never intended to let them fight.

To take down Arthur, he and his brother were more than enough!

"Our godfather always praised your skills, but it seems you're just all talk! Eager for an early grave? My brother and I will gladly oblige..."

Before he could finish the threat, a dark blur launched from the side.

Moving with terrifying speed, a fierce kick swept through the air and slammed squarely into Harvey's torso.

Thud!

The impact sent Harvey flying horizontally, crashing heavily onto the hard pavement.

He forced himself up onto one knee, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth down his chin.

"Olive O'Neil?!" The name hissed through his clenched teeth.

Olive casually brushed imaginary dust off her shoe, flashing a wide, mocking grin that showed off her perfectly straight teeth. "Yep, it's me, your worst nightmare!"

Hugo's face darkened instantly. "Why are you here? Weren't you..."

He instinctively glanced toward the plaza entrance.

He had explicitly arranged for men to lure her away.

Reading his mind, Olive snorted in amusement. She pulled a lollipop from her pocket, unwrapped it, and popped it into her mouth, speaking around the candy. "That old pervert Lawrence is really losing his touch. His recruits are getting dumber by the day. You sent two complete morons to tail me. It would have been impossible not to notice them."

She had spotted the tail the moment she walked into the mall.

That was why she immediately texted Arthur to come as backup.

As for letting herself get lured away...

That was just playing along with their trap.
