The bathroom door was kicked open and slammed shut with a deafening bang.
Nora was hoisted onto the marble vanity. The icy surface bit into her thighs, making her gasp and instinctively lock her arms around Hudson's neck.
"Didn't you say I could change my clothes?"
"I'm changing them right now." Hudson raised an eyebrow, a wicked, devilish smirk playing on his lips as his long fingers hooked onto the black strap of her costume and gave it a decisive tug.
Nora's face was burning with feverish intensity. She turned her head away, unable to meet his eyes, but her gaze was helplessly drawn to the massive floor-to-ceiling mirror beside them.
She sat perched on the vanity, while the towering man stood flush against her. His broad shoulders and narrow waist cut an imposing figure. His dress shirt was still mostly intact, save for a few buttons torn open to reveal the sculpted, porcelain expanse of his chest.
The sound of rushing water filled the room.
The bathroom became a sanctuary of unbridled passion.
...
By the time they emerged from the bathroom, Nora was completely devoid of energy.
He had wrapped her snugly in a towel and carried her to the bed.
Meanwhile, the ill-fated bunny outfit lay crumpled in a heap on the wet bathroom tiles. The fluffy white tail was soaked and matted, looking like a tragic little rabbit caught in a thunderstorm.
Nora curled up under the covers, leaving only her stunning, tear-streaked eyes visible as she watched Hudson move around the room.
He wore nothing but a towel slung low around his hips. Water dripped from his damp hair, tracing a path down his collarbone, trailing over his sharp V-lines, and disappearing into the depths of the towel.
He walked over and pulled open the partially drawn curtains. Instantly, the dying light of the sunset flooded the room, painting the space in a rich, comforting shade of tangerine.
Hudson turned and walked back, silhouetted against the blinding light.
The sunset scattered fragments of gold across the floor behind him, framing his statuesque physique in a breathtaking halo.
Nora's eyes never left him as he approached the bed. From her vantage point, the dying sun spun his eyelashes into gold, and she could see her own flushed face reflected in his deep pupils. He looked like an ethereal god.
"Do you like what you see?"
