"Want to kiss?" His voice was deep and husky, his thumb gently caressing her cheek, his eyes carrying a possessiveness only he truly understood.

Before Nora could react, his lips crashed down on hers.

The airport was bustling with people coming and going. The noisy chatter, PA announcements, and the rumble of suitcase wheels all blended together, but Nora couldn't hear a thing.

His kiss wasn't particularly deep, but it was suffocatingly intimate.

He pressed against her lips again and again, lingering with reluctance, yet carrying a dominant force that declared his absolute claim over her.

Nora went weak in the knees from his kiss, her fingers tightly gripping the hem of his shirt as her ears slowly burned red.

Not far away, Edmond froze in his tracks. Watching the scene, his face instantly darkened, the veins on the back of his hand bulging as he gripped his suitcase handle.

But before he could even get the name out, Arthur's hand shot out like lightning and clamped firmly over his mouth.

Edmond never expected this iceberg of a man to resort to such a dirty trick as literally gagging him with his bare hand.

He struggled instinctively, desperately trying to pry Arthur's hand away, but the man wouldn't budge an inch.

Out of the corner of his eye, Hudson caught sight of the figure being dragged away, and the corners of his lips curled up for a fleeting second.

He released Nora's lips but didn't rush to pull back. He rested his forehead against hers, their breaths mingling.

"Be a good girl and wait for me to come back."

"...Yeah," Nora nodded, her cheeks flushed.

Her lips were glossy from the kiss, glistening and exceptionally alluring.

Hudson's Adam's apple bobbed. He stared at her lips for two seconds before finally taking a deep breath, fighting the urge to drag her onto the plane with him, and turned to walk up the boarding stairs.

Nora stood rooted to the spot, watching his figure disappear into the cabin, her eyes welling up with tears once more.

The stairs were pulled away, the cabin door closed, and the plane slowly taxied down the runway.
