Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 362

"Why do you look so happy?"

Nora paused, lifting a hand to touch her face. "Do I?"

Hudson didn't say a word, his lips curving up slightly.

Happy didn't even begin to cover it—she looked positively radiant.

Her eyes were sparkling like crushed diamonds, completely different from how she had looked before leaving the room.

Feeling a little self-conscious under his intense stare, Nora looked away. She picked up her glass of juice and took a sip, the tips of her ears turning pink.

Sitting across from them, Jude Winslow's gaze casually drifted over Nora. Seeing the irrepressible smile in her eyes, he found himself unconsciously curling his own lips.

Liana Fairchild, who was sitting right next to him, happened to catch that fleeting smile. Her eyes narrowed into thin slits.

Following his line of sight, her gaze landed squarely on Nora.

A subtle frown creased her forehead, a flicker of concealed hostility flashing in her eyes.

...

By the time the dinner party ended, it was past nine in the evening.

The group walked out of the club, greeted by the cool, crisp night breeze.

Standing behind Finnian, Sienna shot Nora a quick wink when he wasn't looking, mouthing the words, 'Let's hang out soon.'

Nora smiled and gave a gentle nod.

Noticing the subtle movement behind him, Finnian turned his head and glanced at Sienna.

Only after they got into the car did he ask in a flat tone, "You know Mrs. Lancaster?"

Sienna smiled, a playful curve on her lips. "Want to know?"

Finnian pressed his lips together, remaining silent, his ink-black eyes locked onto her.

Sienna reached out and traced his jawline lightly with her fingertips. "Sleep with me tonight, and I'll tell you."
