Lawrence placed his teacup back onto the saucer and shot him a calculated look. "Any movement from Arthur and Archer?"

Hugo pursed his lips. "Harvey is keeping eyes on them. Nothing unusual so far."

Lawrence nodded slowly.

"Keep watching them."

He paused, a dark, venomous smirk curling his lips. "I refuse to believe Hudson can keep a lid on his little 'condition' forever."

Hugo acknowledged the order and quietly slipped out of the hospital suite.

Leaning heavily back against the sofa cushions, Lawrence stared at the closed door, his smirk widening into a cold sneer.

These two brats were far too green. Did they honestly think acting loyal would easily earn his absolute trust?

What kind of security level did Cloudwater Estate have?

Over the years, he had sent countless waves of men inside, and not a single one had ever made it out alive.

Nora crouched down, instantly smothering the massive dog in affection.

The evening breeze drifted in from the courtyard, carrying the sweet scent of flowers. Even the air felt like sugar.
