Tiffany shrank her neck back, not daring to speak.
She had been so immersed in the sweetness of love that she couldn't extricate herself, but now she finally saw that scumbag's true colors.
She had thought it was true love.
She never expected him to sell her out for a measly few hundred thousand dollars!
It was laughable. She, the proud daughter of the wealthy Lancaster family, was only worth that much to him!
"Hudson, don't yell at me, I know I messed up..."
Seeing her look of utter realization, Nora thought to herself that this was the Tiffany she knew.
Carefree, confident, and radiant.
But somehow, the moment she fell in love, she lost all her senses...
"Alright, wipe your face first." Saying that, she pulled two tissues from the seat pocket and handed them over.
Tiffany took the tissues and wiped her face haphazardly, looking much more emotionally stable.
"Address."
Right at that moment, Hudson suddenly spoke up with a calm tone.
Tiffany froze for a moment. "...What address?"
"That man's place."
"...Oh, Belvedere Gardens, Tower 3, 16th Floor."
Once she gave the address, Arthur started the car.
Hudson turned his head to glance at Tiffany. "Tell me, am I handling this for you, or are you doing it yourself?"
"I'll do it myself."
Tiffany answered without hesitation, "Don't dirty your hands, Hudson."
Hudson didn't say much else upon hearing this, but as he turned back around, the corners of his lips curled up slightly in an uncontrollable smirk.
...
Belvedere Gardens was located on the edge of the Bayside Business District. It wasn't exactly a high-end neighborhood, but it wasn't too rundown either.
The black Maybach parked in the surface lot. The group took the elevator up to the sixteenth floor. Tiffany stopped in front of the door and knocked.
No one answered.
She knocked twice more, using a bit more force this time. "Open the door."
He covered his face, taking a long time to recover. Looking at the intimidating Tiffany standing before him, he couldn't utter a single word.
He suddenly felt that this girlfriend, whom he had spent the last six months with, was a complete stranger.
It was as if she had turned into an entirely different person.
Turned into someone entirely out of his league...
"Who... who exactly are you?"
Tiffany let go of his collar, took a half-step back, and accepted the handkerchief Arthur handed her, slowly wiping her fingers as if she had touched something filthy. "Why do you care? You want to know everything before you die?"
The man swallowed hard, his voice turning soft and low. "Tiff... I won't do it again. I'll treat you well from now on. Will you forgive me?"
Tiffany looked at his sickening face, her lips curling downward in disgust. "You make me sick. I can't believe I ever liked a piece of trash like you!"
Upon hearing this, the man visibly panicked. "Tiff! Don't be like this! I really know I was wrong. You used to say that no matter what mistakes I made, you'd forgive me. You said you'd stay with me forever..."
"Screw you!"
Tiffany took a deep breath and shook off his hand before it could even touch her arm. "I was blind to fall for a piece of trash like you. Forget everything I ever said to you!"
"Tiff..."
