Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 600

"Yeah, that's it."

"Damn it!"

Grant couldn't help but swear. "You went through all that trouble just to draw a picture of a twelve-year-old? Isn't the Fairchild heiress around twenty-seven by now? They say girls change drastically as they grow up. With such a huge gap, where the hell are you supposed to find her?"

Arthur pressed his lips together and said nothing.

Sebastian let out a soft chuckle. "Come on, why do you care so much? What, are you hoping the Fairchilds find their missing heiress so you can marry her?"

"Bullshit! I wouldn't care less!"

"Then who do you care about? Joining the Lancaster family? Do you think Hudson would ever accept you as his brother-in-law?"

"What's wrong with me? Why wouldn't Hudson accept me? I..."

Halfway through his sentence, Grant realized Sebastian was digging a hole for him. He immediately grabbed a set of car keys from the table and hurled it at him.

"Screw you, Sebastian! Are you asking for a death wish? When did I ever say I wanted to marry Tiffany?" Grant was so exasperated he lost his temper.

Sebastian dodged it effortlessly. "Weren't you fighting to be Tiffany's groom when you were kids? You even said you wouldn't mind joining her family..."

"Fuck off, that's ancient history! We were toddlers playing house! Why the hell are you bringing that up to annoy me?"

Watching the two of them play a childish game of tag around the coffee table, a vein throbbed at Arthur's temple.

"Grant, Sebastian, do you need anything else?"

"Nope."

Arthur gave a curt nod. "If that's all, I'll be heading back. Mr. Lancaster is waiting..."

However, before Arthur could turn around, Sebastian suddenly thought of something. "Hey, wait a minute..."

But the moment he was distracted, Grant caught up to him and landed a solid kick squarely on his ass!

"Hudson asked me to look into The Ivory Pill and... ah, fuck!"

Before Sebastian could finish his sentence, he crashed heavily onto the coffee table.

Instantly, bottles and glasses shattered across the floor, the pungent scent of alcohol filling the air.

Hearing the commotion, the bodyguards outside burst into the room, looking ready for a bloodbath.

But when they saw their boss sprawled over the coffee table in a ridiculous posture, everyone froze like statues...

"Get the hell out!"

The bodyguards snapped out of it, scrambling backward and thoughtfully shutting the door behind them.

"Sebastian, are you alright?" Arthur quickly stepped forward and helped Sebastian up from the table.

As he approached the upcoming stretch of road, Arthur noticed the traffic slowing down significantly. From a distance, the flashing lights of police cruisers were visible.

Soon, a traffic cop in uniform stepped out and signaled for him to pull over.

Arthur complied, bringing the car to a halt and rolling down the window.

"Routine inspection. License and registration, please."

Arthur nodded, unbuckling his seatbelt and leaning over to reach the glove compartment on the passenger side.

When he popped it open, he found a thick manila envelope stuffed inside.

He frowned slightly. The only people who drove this car besides him were Archer and Olive O'Neil.

One of them must have shoved it in there.

Before he could think too much about it, the cop tapped on the glass again. "Sir?"

Arthur casually tossed The DNA Identification Folder onto the passenger seat, retrieved his documents, and handed them over.

The cop took them, checked the details, and glanced up to confirm his identity. "You're good to go."

Arthur took his documents back and restarted the engine.

Seeing a red light ahead, he stepped on the brake. His gaze involuntarily drifted to the passenger seat, landing right on that folder...
