The words made Nora's chest tighten. The warmth from his fingers spread from her pinky all the way through her palm, shooting through her like an electric current.

She opened her mouth, hesitating for a long moment before finally speaking. "I promised that person... that I wouldn't tell you, or else..."

Hudson raised an eyebrow. "Or else what?"

Nora bit her lip, staying silent.

Hudson stared at her for two seconds before his eyes narrowed dangerously. "Honey, do you have a lead on The Ivory Pill?"
