-Andi-
“Earth to Andi?” Siobhan snapped her fingers in front of my face.
I was in the office, apparently glaring at the wall in front of my desk, and a very primped Siobhan raised an eyebr
“Uhmm, yes?” I whispered, casting a glance around the office. It was still early in the morning: the tables of my of were still unoccupied.
“Is everything okay?” my boss pried. She’s holding a paper bag of what I believe were bagels. The office smelled of nuts, and freshly baked bread.
I nodded so vigorously and shot to my feet. “Yes. I’m fine…” I smiled awkwardly as I grabbed the paper bag from he
She dissected me with her gaze. “You were glaring at Nadia’s table like you wanted to kill it.”
I giggled and rubbed the back of my neck. “I haven’t had coffee yet. My mind’s not working yet,” I cajoled when in n my mind didn’t sleep at all. I straightened my spine, tipped my chin up and pulled my stomach in. “Coffee?” I offert changing the subject.
Siobhan was an early bird, and I wanted to beat her to the office every morning and have her coffee ready. This is my showing appreciation for all her help.
‘Yes, please,” Siobhan hummed and strutted towards her office, her skyscraper stilettos punching against the floor. I w the pantry, arranged the bagels on a plate, and made coffee for the two of us.
Inside her office, Siobhan turned on her computer, and while it loads, she checked the pile of folders on top of her des by one. I brought the tray inside and unloaded the cups of coffee and the plate of bread on her table.
This was one reason my office mates didn’t like me. I heard from their conversation in the restroom that Siobhan was a strict boss and she didn’t have this kind of rapport with any of them until me.
I couldn’t blame them, honestly, but they don’t know what Siobhan did for me, so if she wants me to drink coffee with h each morning, I would, even if it means facing the common hate my peers have for me.
“How was the trip?” She asked, taking a sip of her coffee.
“Trip?” I echoed as I sank down on the leather chair in front of her desk.
“With… your boyfriend?” she suggested, placed the cup down, and focused on the documents inside the red Folder. It’s the financial report of her company. Siobhan doesn’t trust anyone with the key to her office, except me. Another reason for the hate I am receiving from my co–workers.
“Oh… it was fine,” I said, and took a sip of my coffee, its warmth blanketing my palms
Siobhan raised an eyebrow at me and set the red folder down. “Fine?”
“Yes, fine,” I said. If we talk about omitting my father’s unwanted visit to the beach house, it would be more than line
Siobhan propels a deeply inquisitive gaze at me as she picks up one bagel and takes a bite. “You didn’t tell me you would be going on a weekend trip with Beckett.”
She looked like she was weighing what she feels about me. Annoyance, betrayal, and excitement were the emotions I could
see in her eyes.

“I… it was a last–minute decision,” I admitted and leaned back into my seat. Magke having coffer with her WWE SEE THE idea after all. Siobhan has a way of squeezing information out of me like a desertore imaging a co

She narrowed those mossy green eyes on me. “You know you can tell me anything, right punctuated those words with a weighted gaze.
I blew a breath and munched on the insides of my cheeks, debating whether I should sell Sokken to re happened last weekend.
“We talked about a lot of things over the weekend,” I started, and Siobhan gave me her andet mention and wa to hear it from me first.”
She blinked those pretty eyes at me in anticipation. “Beckett and I.. I think we’re not taking things mor
She didn’t say anything. She just kept blinking at me as though she didn’t undervand a word I said. I jumped in my we when she clapped her hands together. Then she rose to her feet and went to the glass wall of her office that was Sarung street. We were on the first floor, and she could practically see people walking down the street
“I… I know this isn’t part of the deal,” I explained, taking her silence as a cue to defend myself “God. I don’t know what gotten into me. Now that I voiced that out loud, it sounded so absurd.”
“What?” Siobhan gasped and spun on her heels, frowning at me. “What are you talking about?”
“You look mad at me. I’m sorry. I’m supposed to be just a fake girlfriend.” I buried my face in my hands, g
“Mad?” she gasped. “Are you crazy? I’m damn ecstatic for you, Andi,” she gushed and went back to her seat.
“You are?” I can’t help the disbelief in my voice. At one point, Siobhan told me this would happen eventually, but why de she look conflicted?
“Yes, silly,” she giggled, hiding her worry in her sweet smile. “No wonder Beckett posted those pictures”
“What pictures?” I frowned. Whenever there were pictures involved. I got this unsettling feeling in my belly 1 hun tak to Beckett yet, and I surely haven’t peeked at any social media platforms.
“You didn’t know?” Her perfectly shaped eyebrows curled.
I pulled out my phone and checked Beckett’s Instagram, and there it was, a photo of me in the kitchen. It was my back profile. I was wearing his shirt. It was so loose and big that it reached my thighs My hair was in a messy bun, and 2 was bung preparing our food. This photo was taken before lunchtime yesterday: The photo was in black and white, which added intimacy and mystery.
Beckett captioned it with a red heart, and comments and likes flooded the post
“You knew about the trip because of this?” I asked Siobhan. She nodded. “Lila didn’t tell you
“She knew?” she clucks. “She didn’t give me a heads–up.”
“Yeah, she helped Beckett with some stuff.”
“Is this what you want, Andi? Did Beckett pressure you on anything? I swear if that big baby forced you into this-”
Chapter 108
I cut her off before she could curse Beckett. “No. I… I want this.”

Admitting that to Siobhan made me realize how I really want this. Despite all this drama with his followers and the troll really want Beckett, all the crazy things about him.
Then why do you look so worried?” I knew there was no hiding my worries from Siobhan. But she doesn’t know that it wasn’t about Beckett. It’s about my father’s demand.
I clutched my fingers together and pulled in all the courage I had left in my body. “Do you have Cole’s number?
“Cole?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Uhm,” I jumped through all the acceptable reasons I could say to Siobhan, but I ended up telling her half of the truth. was thinking of getting a part–time job in his restaurant on my day off.”
Siobhan’s stare was quizzical. “Why? Are you having money problems?”
“Yeah… but I don’t want you to worry about it, okay? You’ve done enough already, and also,” I pinched my eyes shut and sighed. “Can we keep this between us? I don’t want Beckett to know.”
