Chapter 105

Luna’s POV

The moment my lips crashed against Theo’s, and I felt him freeze against me in shock, for one horrifying second, I wondered if I had just made the biggest mistake of my life. My heart was beating so hard that I could practically hear it inside my ears, and suddenly, I became painfully aware of how easily this could spiral out of control.

One of Theo’s hands was still holding the ball loosely by his side while the other hovered near my waist like he was too stunned to move it. I could feel my own body burning from embarrassment already, and I was just about to pull away and pretend that the kiss had never happened when Theo suddenly moved.

The shock on his face disappeared so quickly that I almost thought I imagined it, and then his hand slid firmly around my waist, pulling me closer to him until there was no space left between our bodies at all. The sudden movement made my breath hitch, and before I could even process what was happening, Theo tilted his head slightly and deepened the kiss.

Unlike me, who had kissed him impulsively without thinking, Theo kissed me like he had wanted to do it for a very long ime and was finally getting the chance. theo looked just as affected as I felt, but unlike me, he looked far too amused by the whole situation. His lips were slightly swollen from the kiss, and his green eyes looked darker than before as he stared down at me.

I quickly took another step bakward before I did something stupid again.

“I already granted your wish,” I blurted out quickly, trying very hard to sound calm and unaffected even though I knew I sounded nothing like that. “So I don’t owe you anything anymore.”

Theo stared at me for a second before letting out a low chuckle that instantly made me even more embarrassed. He slowly ran one hand through his hair while still looking directly at me like he was enjoying my suffering far too much for his own good.

“Are you sure you granted my wish,” he asked lazily, “or did you just use my wish as an excuse to grant your own?”

I immediately glared at him so hard that he only laughed again. “You’re so annoying.” I strapped at him while folding my arms tightly across my chest. “And way too full of yourself.”

Theo smirked before taking a step closer to me again, though thankfully not close enough to touch me this time. “Come on. Luna,” he said teasingly. “If you wanted to kiss me that badly, you could’ve just admitted it instead of pretending it was about he bet.”

‘Shut up,” I immediately shot back, my face somehow growing even hotter. “You seriously need to stop talking before I bunch you.”

Theo looked completely unbothered by my threat. If anything, he looked even more entertained now. “You kissed me first,” he reminded me with a grin. “And not going to lie, I was starting to think you were never going to stop.”

I pointed an accusing finger at him immediately. “You are literally the worst person alive.”

Theo laughed loudly at that before leaning casually against the basketball pole beside him. “That’s not what you were hinking two minutes ago.”

I groaned loudly in frustration and covered my face with both hands because this was genuinely becoming one of the most mbarrassing moments of my life. I had absolutely no idea what had possessed me to kiss Theo like that. Sure, Moon had been encouraging me nonstop in my head, but I was still the one who actually did it, and now Theo was obviously never going to let me forget it.

Theo hummed thoughtfully before shrugging one shoulder. “Maybe not to you”
