Thirdperson POV

Theo stood beside his car with his hands tucked into the pockets of his jeans while trying very hard not to look as impatient as he actually felt. Every few seconds, his eyes would drift toward the direction leading to the café entrance, only for disappointment to settle in his chest again when he still didn’t see Lupa anywhere. He had already checked his phone more times than he cared to admit, and each time he looked at the time, his annoyance and nervousness only grew worse

At first, he had been confident she would come. Luna did not seem like the kind of person who broke promises carelessly. ven if the promise had been dragged out of her through blackmail and desperation. Stift the longer he waited, the more doubtful he became. It was already almost thirty minutes past the time they had agreed to meet, and he was beginning to hink that maybe Luna had decided she hated Theo Vale enough to completely cancel on him.

Honestly, he could not even blame her if that was exactly what happened.

He knew very well that Luna did not actually want to go on this date. She had only agreed because he solved her Coach tamirez problem, and even then, she looked deeply offended the entire time she accepted the deal. If she suddenly hanged her mind and decided that no solution was worth spending a full day with him, there was really nothing he could lo about it.

The thought annoyed him more than he wanted to admit.

or the first time in a very long while, Theo actually wanted someone to choose him willingly, and unfortunately for him. una seemed determined to resist him at every turn. Usually, women practically threw themselves at him without him even rying, but Luna somehow acted like spending time with him was community service.

t was insulting, and weirdly enough, it only made him want her more.

eaning back slightly against the side of his bright red sports car, he let out a slow breath and dragged a hand through hus air. The secluded café they agreed to meet at was quiet enough that nobody from campus would likely notice them ogether, which was exactly what Luna wanted. She had made it very clear earlier that she did not want to be seen with hum nywhere near school grounds because of the rumors already following her around.

Theo understood why.

at this point, Luna’s name had practically become entertainment material for half the campus. People were daring i whisper openly whenever she walked by, and Theo honestly found the entire thing amusing considering tume here it hurt ven made any attempt to talk to them much less try to seduce them like the rumors were clanning

And suddenly. Theo could not move.

For a brief moment, he genuinely wondered if he was hallucinating.

Luna walked toward him slowly with visible discomfort written all over her face, and even from a distance, Theo could already tell that she hated every second of whatever outfit she had on. Still, none of that stopped him from staring because

she looked beautiful.

Painfully beautiful.

The peachcolored dress wrapped around her body without looking overdone, and the color against her brown skin somehow made her glow under the late afternoon light. Her curls framed her face naturally, fuller and softer than usual since she clearly took time to actually style them properly today. Even the annoyed expression she wore while approaching him somehow made her prettier.

Theo could only stare blankly while something shifted strangely inside his chest. He suddenly remembered the very first time he saw Luna. Back then, he had honestly thought she looked ordinary.

Pretty, yes, but nothing special. Just another attractive girl among hundreds of attractive girls on campus. In fact, he remembered wondering why the Moon Goddess would give him a mate that seemed so painfully average and then somehow decide that the same mate should also be shared among five people.

At the time, it genuinely annoyed him, but now? Standing there while watching her walk toward him in that peach dress with irritation already written across her face, Theo realized there was absolutely nothing average about Luna at all, and that realization made wanting her even worse.

Meanwhile, Luna had already spotted Theo’s car from a distance long before she fully reached him, and the second she saw the aggressively bright red sports car parked outside the café, she visibly groaned.

Theo almost laughed. Even from where he stood, he could tell she hated the car immediately.

Honestly, he should have expected that reaction. Luna seemed like the kind of person who preferred quiet and practical things, while his car practically screamed for attention from five blocks away. The shiny crimson paint alone looked loud.

As Luna got closer, she looked at the car again with even níore visible suffering on her face before muttering something under her breath that Theo could not fully hear.

Probably an insult, definitely an insult, but Theo barely even cared anymore because now that she was standing right front of him, he could finally see her properly, and she looked even better up close.

For a second, he forgot how to speak.

Luna immediately noticed the strange look on his face, and almost instantly, her discomfost returned in full borce. The well- consciousness in her expression was obvious even though she tried hard to hide u

She frowned at him suspiciously before asking. Why are you staring at me like that

Then she narrowed her eyes further and added. And stop doing that You’re being wedd

Theo blinked once before anally recovering enough to speak You look different, he answered honestly

The second he said it, Luna’s expression became even more suspicious, and theo quickly realized he phrased that terribly

In a good way,he added immediately with a grm I meant it in a good way.

Luna rolled her eyes so hard that he almost laughed agam Sull. Theo noticed the faint pink une that appeared across het cheeks despite her obvious annoyance, and the sight only entertained him more.
