Chapter 402: The Garcia Family

"Ohhh~ .... Myra~ .... you are finally here," Amy clapped her hands together and got up from her seat when she saw Myra stepping inside the room. Sebastian got up as well; his posture remained upright.

Myra, with a stiff smile, greeted them formally, "Mrs. Garcia, Mr. Garcia, good evening."

"You don’t need to be formal with us like that. Come, sit. Sit by my side," Amy chimed, a radiant smile gracing her maroon painted lips. Myra simply followed her words and settled beside Amy.

"My wife told me a lot about you, Ms. Miracle. How you helped Amy with picking up gifts for our children. I am very grateful for that," Sebastian added, though his tone remained aloof and cordial.

"Sir, I only accompanied Mrs. Garcia and nothing else. There is no need to thank me," Myra spoke curtly. After all, they couldn’t even buy anything that day because of various incidents.

"There absolutely is. Time is a precious asset, which you spent," Sebastian Garcia uttered. As a businessman, he valued time more than anything else.

When he framed his words like that, Myra couldn’t deny or say anything more on it. Amy took her hands in hers lovingly and said, "I am glad you came to this dinner appointment. You look lovely today as well. After all, you are the star of this dinner today."

Though she said this, both the Garcias, husband and wife, were dressed to the nines. Amy was wearing a custom made, maroon hued middy dress. A sleek, simple yet ornate diamond neckpiece with a centre stone made of pure garnet. Sebastian Garcia, complimenting his wife’s attire, was in an all black suit, combining it with a dark merlot shirt. They were the very image of an ideal couple. Myra, on the other hand, looked a lot plainer in front of them.

Myra gazed at her, and only then did she notice an adhesive bandage on the left side of Amy’s forehead, which was concealed by the layered hair fringes. She immediately asked, "Ma’am, your forehead~ .... how did you get hurt?" Her tone was filled with genuine worry.

Listening to her words, Sebastian felt his body go rigid as Amy told her, "This is just a minor injury when I was in the shower. I was being a bit careless."

Myra nodded in understanding. Amy was beyond happy knowing she was so concerned about her well being. She couldn’t help but beam. As they were conversing, the door to the private room opened as a girl waltzed inside, capturing everyone’s attention.

Sebastian, seeing the newcomer, said, his tone a bit different, with a hint of affection, "Pearl, what took you so long? We have been waiting here. And where is that brother of yours? Don’t tell me he didn’t come."

"Hey dad~ .... Hey mom," Pearl started off casually. "First of all, the traffic is the worst today. Secondly, I didn’t ask you to wait. And lastly, bro, his is just~ ...." she was in the middle of telling them when the door unlatched once again. "Ohhh~ ... here he is~ .... you can do further interrogation with him on your own." Saying this, she walked towards the table and took a random seat.

"Ezra~ .... You~ ...." Sebastian was about to go on a lash rant when Amy stepped in, "Seb~ .... the kids are here now, that’s what is important. Don’t start nagging as soon as they come."
