Mated To The Alpha King (Raven and Ethan) novel Chapter 415

Chapter 415

Chapter 415

Reven’s POV

I looked at him as his eyes stayed fixed on me, sharp and unreadable, like he was trying to peel me open layer by layer.

What was he doing here? The question echoed in my mind, but my lips refused to form the words.

My heart, however, wouldn’t stay quiet. It pounded hard against my chest, reminding me of everything I had tried so hard to forget: him, us, the past that still clung to me like a shadow I couldn’t outrun.

The air between us felt heavy, suffocating even, as if the world had paused just to watch what would happen next.

Was he here to add to my pain… or to save me?

“No, nice to meet you again, Reven,” he said finally, his voice breaking through the silence like a blade.

I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly dry. Of all the things I imagined saying if I ever saw him again, none of them came now. I just stood there, frozen, staring at him like he wasn’t real.

“What is happening here?” he asked, his tone calm but firm, the kind that demanded answers whether you wanted to give them or not.

“It’s nothing, Alpha Ethan,” I said quickly, forcing a small smile that didn’t reach my eyes. “Nothing to worry about.” “Really?” he replied, one brow lifting slightly.

I felt my chest tighten. I wanted to tell him everything the stolen package, the fear, the humiliation of being handcuffed like a criminal but the words got stuck somewhere between my heart and my mouth.

Maybe it was pride. Maybe it was fear. Or maybe it was the fact that this was the same man who once broke me without even trying.

“What’s wrong?” he asked again, softer this time.

Before I could respond, the manager’s voice cut in.

“She was given a jewelry package worth over a million dollars to deliver,” the manager said, stepping forward.

“She didn’t deliver it yesterday, and today the client called saying it never arrived. When we questioned her, she claimed someone she doesn’t know stole it.”

My hands clenched at my sides. “I swear I didn’t take it,” I said, my voice shaking despite my effort to stay calm. “It was stolen at my apartment last night.”

shifted to me briefly, then back to the manager. “And that’s why you called the police?”

“Yes,” the manager replied firmly.

“Let’s step aside and talk,” he said.

As they walked away, I felt the cold metal of the handcuffs bite into my wrists again, reminding me that this wasn’t some bad dream I could wake up from.

I turned to Edna, my voice barely above a whisper. “What do you think will happen? Alpha Ethan hates me: I don’t know what he’s saying to her. What if he tells her to press charges until I pay the money?

I pulled her into a quick hug. “Thank you… for everything. If I don’t come back, just know he took me

She laughed softly. “Stop being dramatic.”

But I wasn’t joking.

I walked outside and found him waiting at the parking lot, leaning against his car like he owned the world

“What took you so long?” he asked as I approached.

“I was talking to Edna.” I replied.

“Why did you call me here?” I asked, crossing my arms.

He scoffed. “Stop acting proud. If not for me, you’d be in jail by now.”

My eyes widened. “Wait, you paid for the missing jewelry?”

“Yes.”

I stared at him, disbelief written all over my face. “You must be kidding.”

“I don’t play games, Reven.”

“Why would you help me?” I asked quietly. “I thought you hated me.”

A small smile tugged at his lips. “No doubt I do. But I couldn’t stand there and watch you go to jail. You’re too pretty for that.”

I didn’t know whether to feel insulted or flattered-but somehow, it still warmed something inside me.

“Thank you,” I said softly. “I don’t know how I’ll ever repay you.”

“You can repay me,” he said immediately.

Of course.

I let out a small breath. How stupid of me to think he would do something like this without expecting anything in reTASTA “What do you want?” I asked.

“It’s simple,” he said, his eyes locking onto mine. “Agree to my condition, and your debt is cleared.”

“And if I don’t?”

His expression hardened. “Then you can make jail your new home. And trust me, it won’t look good on your recourt

I swallowed. He wasn’t bluffing.

“Fine,” I said. “What’s your deal?”

“Come back to your old job.”

I frowned. “As your wife?”

He shook his head. “No. I don’t force things like that
