The car doors on both sides swung open, revealing two tall and dashing guys, Daxton and Zane. One exuded a calm and collected vibe, while the other radiated warmth and charm.

Daxton walked over to the car door on his side, holding it as a shield over the top, while Zane assisted the lady inside out. Cheryl stepped out in a flowing white evening gown, adjusting her dress before making her grand entrance on the red carpet.

Zane and Daxton both offered their hands, and Cheryl placed hers lightly on theirs as they ascended the red carpet together.

Daxton intervened, “Let’s keep the peace, guys. We’re in public, remember?”

Aurora watched the ceremony intently from her office when her phone rang. She answered, “Alaric?”

Aurora, I’ve got some juicy gossip!” Alaric’s voice was brimming with excitement.

“What’s up?” Aurora asked, her curiosity piqued.

I’ve got a buddy on the festival jury, and he says someone’s been handing out heavy payout. Guess who’s playing Santa?” Alaric’s tone was practically bubbling with the news.

Aurora was taken aback: “Sophia?”

Alaric: …You’re really no fun. Can’t you guess a few more times?”

Aurora immediately asked, “Can your friend make sure she doesn’t win the award? Can they keep any evidence?”

Alaric was speechless: “Sophia really drew the short straw messing with you. Alright, I’ll see what I can do about returning the payout, but we can keep the surveillance footage and call records.”

“That’s great!” Aurora said happily, “I’ll treat you to dinner!”

Alaric quickly said, ‘Don’t! Seriously, don’t! If Heath knows you had dinner with me, I can kiss my job at Skyline goodbye. I’ll be jobless in no time!”

As soon as Alaric hung up, he immediately called Heath: “Bro!”

Heath felt a headache coming on at the sound of that cheerful voice. He rubbed his forehead and said, ‘Speak.”

‘I’m helping Aurora bully Sophia. I need money!” Alaric was to the point.

“How much?” Heath was straightforward.
