Me And My Billionaire Husband
Chapter 125
At the awards ceremony, Daxton, as a guest performer, sang a song from his new album to rousing cheers.
The host announced the nominees for Best Newcomer, including Sophia, Cheryl, and two other new actors. The winner was Cheryl!

Sophia was stunned. How could it be Cheryl? Her father had made it clear that he had taken care of the jury for her. Could it be that they had not been bought for this award?
Ethan turned to her and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Sophia shook her head, “Nothing, just a little disappointed.”
Ethan patted her hand, comforting, “It’s okay, there are other awards.”
Sophia nodded, thinking the Best Newcomer might not be prestigious enough. Her award must be coming later.
After another performance, the Most Popular Male Actor award was announced, and unsurprisingly, Zane won.
Zane stood up, straightened his suit, and walked up to give his acceptance speech amidst the cheers and screams of his fans. He smiled,
looked down at the audience, and said, “Thanks to Yasmine, for making Dylan what he is today!”

With that one sentence, he sent the atmosphere in the venue soaring!
“Ah, my Dylan and Yasmine!!”
“Please be together!!”
“What kind of celestial beauty is Zane! So charming!!”
“Give Cheryl a shot!! I want to see Cheryl!!”
‘Daxton: It’s a three–person movie, but I’m always nameless.”
The barrage of comments went wild, and the fans‘ screams nearly lifted the roof off the venue. In War Against Fate, the separation of Dylan and Yasmine had broken many hearts, and today it was as if they were reunited, fulfilling the wishes of their fans.
Cheryl sat below the stage, watching Zane prance about. Did this guy ever get tired of stirring up trouble?
The whole venue was shouting Zane and Cheryl’s names. Sophia clenched her fists. Was Cheryl just riding on Zane’s coattails? And what about Aurora, clinging to Alaric? What’s so great about that? Her Ethan was far better than any of them! Let Cheryl have her moment of glory for now!
Next up was the Most Popular Actress award, with nominees including Yvonne, Ivy, Sophia, and Cheryl!
Sophia smiled. Her show Youth had good ratings, and she had high votes online for the Most Popular Actress. Her father Sebastian had also worked the jury for her. This award had to be hers!
As the big screen showcased the works of the four nominated actresses, the host read out, “The Most Popular Actress of the year goes to

The camera panned over each actress in turn, Sophia straightened her dress, confident and ready to stand.
The Most Popular Actress of the year goes to–Cheryl!” the host announced loudly, and the applause thundered throughout the venue.
The camera cut to Cheryl, who hadn’t yet reacted, but Sophia had already stood up, creating an awkward moment. Ethan tugged at Sophia, signaling her to sit down.
Cheryl gave her a smile and stood to accept her award. This scene sparked a different tone in the comments.
“Sophia standing up for what? To accept the award?”
“I’ve seen confident, but never this confident. Yvonne didn’t dare stand, but she did?”
“Shut up upstairs! Our Sophia isn’t like that!”
“That’s right! Sophia was just looking towards the door, clearly she wanted to go out! Don’t start rumors!”
Sophia’s fans fiercely defended her, and the comment section gradually quieted down.
Cheryl stood on stage with the trophy, took a few deep breaths, and said, “I’m very grateful to the audience for their recognition. The person I want to thank the most is my boss. Her trust in me allowed me to stick to my dreams. Without her, there would be no Yasmine
in everyone’s eyes!”
Aurora sat in front of the TV, happy to hear Cheryl’s words, knowing that the boss Cheryl referred to was her, but she couldn’t reveal herself yet, which is why she couldn’t join them at the venue.
The fans chanted Cheryl’s name, while Sophia sat with a face ashen with rage.
How could this happen? The award was supposed to be hers! What went wrong?
