Me And My Billionaire Husband
Chapter 141
Aurora paused in front of a shop, captivated by a mannequin dressed in a black shirt with a subtle pattern and exquisite cufflinks. She entered, asked the saleswoman for one, and held it up against Heath before taking it to the cashier to pay.
Heath, noticing Aurora purchasing another men’s shirt, frowned and was about to pay when Aurora handed over her credit card instead, saying, “Let me.”
After paying, Aurora stuffed the bag into Heath’s arms: “It’s for you.”
Heath was momentarily taken aback, admiring her prideful retreat, his heart feeling sweetly wrapped.
He hastened to catch up with Aurora: “Why are you giving me clothes?”
Aurora glanced at him indifferently: “If you don’t want it, return it!”
Heath hid the shirt behind him: “I want it.”
Aurora pouted slightly: “I’m hungry, let’s go eat.”
Heath nodded, following her to a restaurant.
Aurora chose a Southeast–Asian restaurant, intentionally ordering some light dishes for Heath.
After eating, as it started to rain, Aurora called Kieran to pick them up. Supporting Heath to the entrance, she suddenly realized she’d left her phone and went back to get it.
As Heath waited for Kieran, a striking couple approached: a mixed–race man, handsome and upright, and a woman, gentle and elegant. “Mr. Fairbank, what a coincidence,” greeted Dominic Ashcroft, gracefully and politely.
“Mr. Dominic Ashcroft, indeed,” replied Heath.
“Hello, Mr. Fairbank, smiled Isabella, holding Dominic’s arm.
Heath nodded in response.
Also dining here?‘ asked Dominic.
“Just finished, about to leave,” said Heath.
“Was it with Miss Aurora? I’ve never seen her. She was masked at the ball and left hurriedly,” Isabella inquired with a smile.
“Why are you alone at the entrance, Mr. Fairbank? Where is Miss Aurora?” Dominic looked at Heath.
“She went back for her phone,” Heath replied tersely, not keen on having Aurora meet Dominic, haunted by her drunkenly crying Dominic’s name one night.
Heath, visibly uninterested in chatting, received brief pleasantries from Dominic, who then excused himself: “We’ll go inside, maybe chat
another time.”

Heath nodded, and Dominic, with Isabella, entered the restaurant. Aurora, coming out with her phone, saw them from afar, panicked, and
sat down in a corner, head lowered.
Dominic and Isabella sat nearby, ordering. Aurora, head down, stood up hurriedly and walked out, accidentally bumping into someone without apologizing.
Dominic, disturbed by the noise, turned and saw a familiar figure rushing out: “Olivia!”
Aurora didn’t stop, running out of the restaurant and pulling Heath: “Let’s go.”
Heath nodded, following her to the parking lot.
Isabella held Dominic, speaking softly: “Dominic, you’re mistaken.”
Dominic, agitated, sat down: “Where is she?”
Isabella, biting her lip and suppressing her temper, still gentle, said: “Dominic, Olivia betrayed Abyss, the evidence is clear, stop looking.”
Dominic, staring at Isabella, his earlier politeness gone, demanded: “Do you know where she is?”
Isabella, inwardly panicking, maintained calm: “How could I? Dominic, I’m your fiancée, trust me.”
Dominic, sarcastically: “Fiancée? Just a business engagement. Know your place!”
Isabella looked at Dominic plaintively as he stood to leave. She pleaded: “You promised to dine with me!”
Dominic, pulling away, left the restaurant.
He had promised many things, including giving Olivia a beautiful future. But before he could fulfill this promise, she disappeared.
Where had the girl who grew up with him, who stood by his side through battles, gone?
After a week–long stay in the United States, Eamon stopped troubling Aurora. Aurora, unconcerned, was occupied daily with caring for Heath and engaging in a battle of wits, leaving her exhausted.
Once Lysander confirmed Heath was fit to move freely, they all returned to home.
Upon landing, Aurora first went to replace her lost SIM card; her phone was lost during a gunfight. She had already called her grandfather and Cheryl to assure them of her safety, waiting to return home to replace it.

As soon as her phone was switched on, a barrage of messages popped up, startling Aurora.
“Aurora! There’s trouble!”
“Aurora! Where are you? Big trouble with Zane!”
“Aurora, something happened to Zane.”
“Aurora, call me back, I’m worried about you.”

Chapter 141
“Aurora, call me.”
“Aurora, do you even care about me? Aren’t I your artist?”
“Aurora! Are you pretending to be dead?”
“Aurora… you’ve been unreachable for a week, can you call back?”
The messages were from Daxton, Cheryl, and Zane, all centered around one thing – something had happened to Zane.
Alarmed, Aurora immediately called Zane, unsure what had transpired.

The phone was answered after two rings, Zane’s roaring voice came through: “Aurora! Did you go to America or outer space? I’m almost dead, and you just get back?”
Hearing Zane’s frantic voice, Aurora breathed a sigh of relief. She had feared he was injured or in trouble. As long as he was okay, that was all that mattered.
“What happened?” Aurora asked.
“It’s a long story, come to my house. Daxton and Cheryl are here,” Zane said irritably.
Aurora hung up, informed Heath, and arranged for Jay to take her to Zane’s house.
Arriving at Zane’s villa, the servant opened the door and greeted, “Miss Aurroa, the young Mr is in the living room.”
Aurora, followed by Jay, entered the living room to find Zane sprawled on the sofa, his face bruised and swollen, and his arm in a sling. Cheryl and Daxton sat beside him, listening to his complaints.
Aurora was taken aback: “What happened to you?”
Zane, annoyed, retorted: “You’re just getting back now! If you were any later, I would’ve been beaten to death!”
Aurora, still confused, asked: “Who did this? Who would dare hit you?”
Cheryl, with a look of resignation, took out her phone, opened a news app, and handed it to Aurora: “Take a look for yourself.”
Aurora took the phone, and the news headline, bolded in red, read: “Popular Actor Accused of Molesting Female Star!”
