“Intimidate? Do you think sending Sophia abroad was just a scare tactic? If it weren’t for grandfather’s intervention, she’d be in jail by now! As for you- Aurora’s eyes fixed on Yvonne, “You injured Cheryl, how should I deal with you?”

Yvonne, hiding behind Evelyn, retorted, “So what? It was an accident, not a crime. How will you punish me? Competing for roles is all about skill!”

Aurora tossed a document onto the coffee table with a loud snap, startling Yvonne. Aurora stood up, approached Yvonne, with Evelyn still between them.

Leaning forward, Aurora smirked, “Is that all the courage you have, yet you dare to challenge me here? Do you think my dear elder sister can protect you?”

Evelyn protectively reached out to Yvonne, “Aurora, don’t go too far!”

Ignoring her, Aurora continued to focus on Yvonne, her smile sweet but her eyes ice–cold, “If she was capable of protecting you, why didn’t she do the same for Sophia?”

Yvonne paused, speechless. She had already committed to Evelyn’s camp and had no way back.

Evelyn had secured her the role of Elara and promised her the best resources. She had no reason to refuse.

Aurora then turned to Evelyn, smiling, “Big sister, don’t celebrate too early. Be careful not to embarrass yourself.”

Aurora picked up her bag and left the villa, finding it hard to even glance at Evelyn.

Evelyn dragged Yvonne out from behind her, “Why fear her? She can’t devour you.”

Yvonne, head lowered, remained silent. Aurora’s gaze was frightening; while she couldn’t harm her, Yvonne was still afraid.

Jay drove Aurora to the hospital. Aurora opened the door to Cheryl’s room, finding her propped up in bed with Zane feeding her.

Zane, while feeding, chastised, “Are you brainless? Couldn’t you stay away from the fight? Yvonne hit that woman, and they’re fine, while you end up with a concussion. It’s embarrassing. Where’s the spirit you usually show when you fight me? Next time Yvonne comes at you, just hit her. I’ll cover for you. Don’t tell people we’re from the same company, it’s too shameful…”

Aurora, speechless, watched as Cheryl coughed to signal Zane of her arrival.

Zane, without looking up, continued, “Why cough? Throat uncomfortable? Should’ve stuck to light food. Last night’s barbecue was a mistake, wasn’t it?”

Aurora interjected, “Zane.”

Zane, turning to see Jay and Aurora at the door, awkwardly smiled and set down the bowl, “Coming in without a word, who are you trying

to scare?”

Aurora walked in, sitting on the sofa beside Cheryl, “How are you feeling? Any discomfort?”

Cheryl shook her head, “No, the doctor said I’m fine.”

Zane, putting down the food, said, “Her brain’s fine, but she’s been in low spirits ever since she learned her role was taken.”

Cheryl looked regretfully at Aurora, “I’m sorry, Aurora. My carelessness led to my injury and allowed Evelyn to steal the role.”

Aurora shook her head, consoling, “Your health is what’s important, don’t worry.”

Zane leaned back in his chair, declaring, “If Cheryl’s not acting, neither will I.”

Cheryl glared at him, “Stop it. Aurora worked hard to get us this script. I can’t perform, but you can’t give up!”

As Zane began to argue, Aurora interrupted, “Fine, Zane, you don’t have to act.”

“Wait, Aurora…” Cheryl started to speak for Zane.

Suddenly, Zane leaned in, “Aurora, what’s your plan? Share with us?”

Aurora smiled slightly, a twinkle in her eye, “What’s ours should either be returned to us or destroyed!”

Zane clicked his tongue, “I like it. Ruthless!”

Aurora looked at Jay, “Arrange for Zane’s hospitalization. Say it’s… gastric bleeding.”

Jay immediately left to do so. Zane grimaced, “Couldn’t you think of something better? Gastric bleeding, really?”

Aurora glared at him, “Would you prefer a concussion?”

Zane waved his hands, “No thanks, I’ll stick with gastric bleeding.”
