Chapter 188
Cheryl rolled her eyes at Zane, “Complaining about how you’re not focusing on filming!”
Zane pinched Cheryl’s cheek, teasing, “Got a big mouth, huh? Tattling on me?”
Cheryl grimaced, swatting Zane’s hand away and stood up to chase him, “Zane, come here!”
Zane ran around, yelling playfully, while Cheryl chased him with a prop whip, causing laughter and chaos on set as the crew tried to intervene.
Aurora helplessly watched the playful chase between Cheryl and Zane, while Soraya nervously approached and greeted, “Hello, Boss Aurora.

Aurora glanced at Soraya, dressed in a tranquil, goose–yellow ancient costume, and replied with a smile, “Hello, Soraya.”
Soraya’s eyes lit up with surprise, “You know me, boss?”
Aurora nodded, “Of course, I’ve seen your previous work. You’re not a newcomer.”
Soraya, visibly pleased, asked, “I heard you’re preparing a movie for Zane?”
Aurora turned to her, giving her a closer look, and remarked, “You’re well–informed.”
Soraya nervously inquired, “About the movie’s leading lady… I was wondering…”
Aurora interrupted, “Soraya, the movie is still in preparation, and casting isn’t up to me alone. Moreover, you should let your agent handle such matters. It’s better to follow the industry’s protocols.”
She understood Soraya’s interest in joining Zane’s film but was aware that Soraya didn’t have a unique advantage among the many actresses of similar age to Zane.
“Boss, I’m not seeking special treatment… I just wish to work with Zane. Could you give me an audition opportunity?” Soraya asked, head bowed.
Aurora, looking at Cheryl and Zane’s frolics, then back at Soraya, advised, “You’re not a newcomer, nor is Zane. You should be aware of how the industry views relationships and marriages.”
After a playful scuffle, Zane approached, asking, “What are you talking about?”
Aurora smiled, ‘Nothing much, just that Soraya enjoys acting.”
Zane glanced at Soraya and commented, “I told you Aurora is easy to get along with, right?”
Soraya nodded silently, saying nothing further.
Cheryl caught up, slapping Zane’s back, “Dare to pinch my face again? Got you now!”
Zane sighed, “Cheryl, are you really a lady? Look at Soraya, why can’t you be more gentle?”

Cheryl, taken aback, looked at Soraya, who smiled softly. Cheryl responded, “Oh, I can’t learn to be gentle,” and slumped next to Aurora, falling silent.
As the director called for the next scene, Yvonne sneered, “Soraya, always where the action is. What good does it do cozying up to Aurora? Can she elevate you without Harmony’s support?”
Soraya, head down, remained silent, intimidated by Yvonne’s newfound arrogance backed by Evelyn.
Ignoring Wonne, Zane pulled Cheryl away to continue filming.
Aurora, still seated, watched Yvonne’s haughty demeanor and warned, “Got bolder under Evelyn’s wing, Yvonne? Just assist her well. When I deal with her, I hope she won’t use you as a shield.”
Yvonne snorted, “Hope Cheryl isn’t your shield either,” before turning back to the set.
The scene being filmed involved Gavin, disillusioned with Belle, marrying Thalassa. Belle arrived to disrupt the wedding.
In the story, Belle was accused of harming Gavin’s master, but it was Thalassa who was the true culprit. This led Gavin to despise Belle and accept Thalassa, with Belle clinging to hope at the wedding.
Zane, in ancient wedding attire, confronted Cheryl in red, accusing her, “Witch of the Demon Cult, you killed my master and hurt my fellows. I, Gavin, shall execute justice!”
The sword stopped inches from Cheryl’s forehead. Cheryl, tearfully clad in red, protested her innocence.
Before she could finish, the sword struck her shoulder, and Cassian rescued her, escaping the scene.
However, the wire rig malfunctioned, and Cheryl and the actor playing Cassian plummeted to the ground!
