Descending the stairs, Zane headed straight to Fairview Studio in his car. Bursting into Aurora’s office, he exclaimed, “When is Cheryl getting discharged from the hospital? Are we going to continue filming or not?”

Aurora looked at him, puzzled. “Cheryl is injured. Didn’t you say she should rest for a few more days?”

Caught off guard, Zane retorted, “Then she should rest at home! Why stay in the hospital? Hospital beds are in high demand! Can’t she stop occupying medical resources?”

Aurora, still baffled, asked, “Zane, what’s going on?”

Leaning back on the sofa, legs propped up, Zane grumbled, “I just want to get back to filming! Are we working or not?”

Aurora, in disbelief, remarked, “What’s gotten into you? Since when are you so eager to work?”

Zane, agitated, fidgeted with his car keys and asked, “That Morrow, the guy playing Cassian, is he about to die in the script? Is the shooting almost over? Can we just finish and move on?”

Realization dawned on Aurora. Was Zane upset because Morrow was with Cheryl in the hospital? Zane’s outburst now made sense.

“Zane, Morrow saved Cheryl. It’s only right for her to look after him a bit,” said Aurora.

“I know, I know! He protected her when they fell, didn’t he? Any man would have done the same. Does everyone need to praise him for it? How should Cheryl thank him? By throwing herself at him?” Zane fumed, wishing he could blow up the hospital.

“Maybe, girls like heroes,” Aurora shrugged.

“Rubbish! Is Cheryl a damsel? Cheryl is the real hero! She’s so tough! She doesn’t need anyone saving her!” Zane exploded with expletives.

He was irked. Morrow had only known Cheryl for a few days, yet he was always talking about her. Cheryl even peeled apples for him – something Zane had never experienced, only having tasted the cream cake she smeared on his face.

Aurora, smiling helplessly, said, “Zane, when will you start seeing Cheryl as a girl? Maybe then you wouldn’t be so troubled…”

Zane paused, realizing he hadn’t really seen Cheryl that way. He had always been protective of her, even confronting Sophia and Yvonne

on her behalf.

“Um… Aurora?” Zane’s voice softened.

Startled, Aurora looked at him, “What now?”

Zane, rubbing his hands nervously, asked, “If I treat Cheryl better, will she stay away from Morrow?”

Shaking her head, Aurora replied, “Why should Cheryl stay away from Morrow? They’re just friends.”

‘But I don’t like Cheryl being friends with him! Zane raised his voice.

“What do you want then? Aurora asked, resigned.

‘I want Cheryl to be with me, just me! Zane blurted out.

Both Aurora and Zane froze. Had he really just said that?

Aurora, grabbing a folder from her desk, hurled it at Zane, “Don’t you dare pursue Cheryl, do you hear me?”

Zane, hit by the folder, rubbed his head and smiled. He jumped up and ran out of the office, yelling, “Got it! Got it!”

Aurora, massaging her temples, sensed trouble. She wasn’t opposed to Zane and Cheryl together, but it was a delicate time. Cheryl’s career was on the rise, and Zane was immensely popular. Countless fans were watching their idols, never expecting them to end their single status.

If they got together, Aurora couldn’t imagine the frenzy it would cause online.

But knowing Zane’s foolhardy nature, if he truly liked Cheryl, nothing would stop him, not even a broken leg.

Bursting into Heath’s office, he interrupted a meeting between Heath, Alaric, and Lysander.

Zane shrugged off Alaric, leaning over Heath’s desk, “Heath, I need to talk to you!”

Heath gestured for the others to move to the guest area. Settling down, he asked, “What’s up?”

“How did you win over Aurora?” Zane asked bluntly.

Alaric and Lysander were speechless.

Heath, taken aback, was about to respond when Lysander burst out laughing, “Zane, when did you see Heath win over Aurora?”

Heath, embarrassed, remained silent.

“Why are you asking this?‘ Heath inquired, slightly annoyed.

I want to know how you managed to charm someone as tough as Aurora,” Zane replied, eager for insight.

Heath, leaning back, corrected him, “Aurora isn’t tough.”

In Heath’s eyes, Aurora was gentle, charming, and alluring.

Zane was taken aback, “Isn’t that manly? She threw me into the pool in front of a dozen people with a judo flip!

Heath shrugged. “So? She also beat you in a car race. Isn’t that charming?”
