But Aurora was still so young. She shouldn’t be like this. She should be like Yvonne, like Soraya, arrogant and reckless, causing trouble everywhere due to her youth and bound to make mistakes.

“Mr. Quise, have you decided? The investment or Yvonne?” Aurora asked.

Regaining his composure, Quise replied with an obsequious smile: “With Yvonne causing such a stir, casting her would be disastrous. Even the director wouldn’t agree.”

Aurora smiled, saying: “Then, when Yvonne leaves, that will be when the investors return.”

She stood up and left the office. Quise exhaled deeply, wiping the fine sweat from his forehead with a handkerchief. Aurora, a young woman, had presence like a knife hanging over a negotiation table. He couldn’t fathom where she got such a sharp gaze and aura.

Aurora visited Cheryl in the hospital. Cheryl had only been unconscious and woke up the same day, but both Aurora and Zane were worried about her. After falling twice, they insisted she stay in the hospital for a week of observation.

Morrow suffered a broken arm and a concussion–a serious injury. Skyline arranged for him to stay in the room next to Cheryl, and the drama team covered his medical expenses.

When Aurora arrived at the hospital, Cheryl was in Morrow’s room, chatting.

“What are you talking about? You seem happy,” Aurora asked as she entered.

Morrow greeted her from his hospital bed.

Aurora nodded with a smile, placing some fruit on the table. This time, if Morrow hadn’t protected Cheryl and landed first, she wouldn’t have gotten away with just a brief unconsciousness.

“Aurora, we were just talking about how, in the drama, Cassian gets stabbed by Thalassa to save Belle. I didn’t expect Morrow to actually save me in real life!” Cheryl exclaimed.

Morrow smiled faintly: ‘I was lucky. In the drama, Cassian dies saving you.”

Cheryl playfully hit Morrow’s leg, scolding, “What are you talking about? Dying and such?”

Rubbing his leg, Morrow chuckled: “Okay, no more nonsense. I’ll be discharged in a couple of days.”

Aurora, sitting aside, smiled and said, “Still, thank you for saving Cheryl.”

Morrow glanced at Cheryl and joked, “Saving a popular actress like you is my honor!”

Cheryl, bored during her hospital stay, had been visiting Morrow often. They had become quite familiar with each other.

Aurora, seeing Cheryl was alright, advised her to rest well. She reminded Cheryl that she needed to return to the drama set soon and then

headed back to her studio.

Chapter 192

When Zane and Soraya arrived, Cheryl and Morrow were chatting. Cheryl was peeling an apple for Morrow, laughing about the plot.

Soraya, with a bandage on her arm and a smile on her face, asked, “Cheryl, what’s so funny?”

Cheryl turned to Soraya and laughed, “We were talking about how you killed Cassian in the drama!”

Soraya stuck out her tongue, saying, “It’s just the plot! I didn’t mean to!”

Zane, with a stern face, said, “Can’t you stay put for a while, even with injuries? Why are you wandering around?”

Cheryl, puzzled, replied, “I’m not wandering around. Just visiting next door. The doctor said I could be discharged in a couple of days.”

Zane was jealous and glared at her, retorting, “You seem fine to me! You’re even peeling apples!”

Morrow, taking the apple, hesitantly asked, “You and Zane… are you…”

Cheryl shook her head and said, “It’s nothing. I’m a bit tired. I’ll go back to rest and visit you tomorrow.”

Zane drove Soraya back to her apartment. The car was filled with groceries they had just bought. With Soraya’s arm dislocated, Zane helped her carry the items upstairs. Soraya wanted to invite him for dinner, but Zane refused.
