Me And My Billionaire Husband (Aurora and Heath) novel Chapter 203

26

Aurora stood by the window for a full two minutes before a sound at the door made her turn her head. The doorknob turned, and the door

opened.

She quickly turned her gaze outside as Heath closed the door and entered. The room was unlit, only illuminated by the light from outside, casting a small, fragile silhouette of Aurora in front of the window.

Heath approached, standing behind her, reaching out to embrace her. Aurora dodged, firmly saying, Mr. Fairbank, I need to rest. Please

leave.

Heath weighed the keys in his hand and said, I didn’t fish these out of your grandpa’s pocket.

Aurora gazed outside, lost in thought, understanding Heath’s implication that he wouldn’t let Elowen take keys from his pocket.

She knew Heath didn’t like Elowen and wouldn’t let her cook at his residence, nor would he allow her to touch his clothes.

She knew everything she wasn’t like the coldhearted assassin, Olivia. She was Aurora, a girl who felt anger, jealousy, and caprice like any other.

She was just overwhelmed by a sense of insecurity that made her restless at night.

When Heath embraced her from behind, Aurora struggled awkwardly, refusing to let him hold her.

Elowen was right; she wasn’t his girlfriend or his lover. Why should he embrace and kiss her without restraint?

Moreover, the thought of him entangled with Elowen’s perfume made her feel disgusted.

Don’t touch me!Aurora stamped her foot, pushing him away in a fit of anger.

She struggled, elbowing Heath’s chest, but he didn’t utter a sound. She halfturned, pushing him with all her might.

In the scuffle, Heath struggled to hold her, pleading, Rory! Calm down!

Overpowered by his strength and overwhelmed with anger and frustration, she cried out, Don’t touch me! What makes you think you can hold and kiss me like this! Have you no shame!

It’s because I love you!Heath’s voice thundered through the heavy clouds in her mind, striking her heart.

Her mind and heart roared, her heart thumping wildly, as if ready to leap out of her chest.

Thump, thump, thump.

In the silent room, the dim light cast two silhouettes on the window, frozen in time.

Outside, the sound of cars and the roar of airplanes filled the air, along with the chirping of birds in the garden. Every sound was crystal clear, including Aurora’s heartbeat, which became the most beautiful sound of the night, echoing in her ears like a whisper or the distant chirring of cicadas.

Chapter 203

Stunned by his shout, Aurora stood still as Heath straightened her body, gazing into her eyes.

From the moment you fell into my arms in that evening gown, you’ve been the only one in my eyes. No matter your secrets, your past, or your insecurities, I can wait for you to tell me in your own time, I thought waiting would ease your burden, for my girl is truly timid,Heath’s eyes twinkled like a starry sky, his gaze lasting an eternity.

Heath gently caressed her cheek, his voice warm yet teasing, Silly girl, why cry?

Aurora looked at his moving lips, hearing each word clearly yet feeling as if she heard nothing.

Standing there, tears fell like pearls off a broken string.

Heath lifted her chin, looking into her clear eyes, his voice low yet earnest, almost like a vow, Rory, it’s you I love, it has always been

you.

Aurora opened her mouth but said nothing.

Heath leaned down, kissing her lips.

Her soft, warm lips, wet with tears, tasted salty, like a gentle sea breeze.

Heath pressed her against the wall, his hand cradling her head, the other at her waist, deepening the kiss.

Aurora closed her eyes, his fresh scent invading her nostrils, yet she remained utterly dazed by the suddenness of this man, this declaration.

Unexpectedly, he had breached the forbidden zone of her heart.
