Chapter 216
As Aurora was about to speak, Leen emerged and said to her, “Miss Aurora, your grandpa is awake and wishes to see you.”
Aurora nodded, and Evelyn inquired eagerly, “What about me? What about me?”
Leen smiled gently, “Miss Evelyn, your grandpa didn’t ask for you.”

Before Evelyn could retort, Aurora interjected, “In that case, Leen, please close the door. Let’s not have irrelevant people disturb Grandpa’s
rest.”
Leen nodded and closed the grand door, following Aurora as she walked in. Left outside, Evelyn stamped her foot in frustration, knocked on the door a few times to no avail, and finally had no choice but to leave.
Inside, Aurora found her grandfather propped up in bed, sipping his medicine. She smiled and asked, “Grandpa, you’re awake? How do you feel?”
The old man chuckled warmly, “So, you do remember to check on me? I thought you’d decided to stay in America!”
Aurora laughed lightly, “Oh, Grandpa, you always tease!”
Ignoring her, the old man continued his medicine. Aurora suggested, “Should I call Dr. Lysander Fane to check on you?”
He waved her off, “No need, it’s just the weariness of old age. The celebration took its toll. Don’t bother Dr. Fane.”
Feeling guilty, Aurora looked down, “It’s my fault, Grandpa. I shouldn’t have made you travel so much.”
Despite his age, the old man had endured a hectic journey and a grand banquet, which proved too much for him.
‘Nonsense, my dear. I enjoyed it!” he reassured her with a smile.
Still, Aurora insisted on calling Lysander, concerned for his health. Her grandpa finally agreed, and she stepped out to make the call. Lysander promptly agreed to come over.
After helping her grandfather finish his medicine and serving him some food, Lysander arrived. He exchanged brief greetings with Aurora, then turned to the old man, “What seems to be the trouble?”
With a dismissive gesture, the grandfather said, “I’m just tired. Aurora is overreacting.”
As Lysander examined him and then packed up, he assured, “It’s just exhaustion. Some rest and medicine will do.”
The old man looked triumphantly at Aurora, “See? I told you I was fine.”
Aurora smiled, “Yes, you were right, Grandpa.”
As she walked Lysander to the door, Aurora asked, “Tell me honestly, is Grandpa just tired?”
He nodded, “Truly, just fatigue. But given his age, we should be more cautious in the future.”

Chapter 216
“Thank you,‘ Aurora said, relieved.
Lysander chuckled and left. As he was about to drive off, he rolled down his window, “How are Vespera and Alaric doing?”
Aurora was taken aback, “Vespera and Alaric?”
Lysander nodded, “Yes! I think they have a chance. Vespera is definitely better than that Elowen!”
Aurora grimaced, “Please don’t compare my friend Vespera to Elowen. It lowers the bar.”

Laughing, Lysander teased, “Alright, but Aurora, Heath truly cares for you. After that one foolish move by Elowen, Heath is pressuring her back to England.”
Aurora smiled to herself, keeping her thoughts private.
Lysander tapped on the car window and said, “Honestly, Vespera is a great catch. Maybe you could try setting her up with Alaric?”
Aurora firmly shook her head, “No way! Alaric is completely smitten with Elowen. I’m not going to push Vespera into that mess!”
Lysander sighed in resignation, “Alaric is such a fool when it comes to love. I don’t think he truly loves Elowen; it’s more about his unrequited feelings over the years.”
Aurora disagreed, “It’s still a no. He’s hung up on his old flame, and that’s a deal–breaker. Besides, Vespera has her childhood sweetheart and has no interest in Alaric.”
Hearing that Vespera had someone in her heart, Lysander shook his head, somewhat disappointed, “Looks like Alaric is doomed to bachelorhood then.”
Aurora remained silent.
After Lysander drove off, Aurora returned to assist her grandfather with his meal and helped Leen tidy up before sitting down to chat with her grandpa until he fell asleep. Then she retired to her room.
For nearly a week, this routine continued until her grandfather regained his strength and could stroll in the garden.
Waking up late, Aurora had lunch at home before heading to her Studio.

“Can’t wait to see Belle torment Gavin! Make them cry!”
“Cheryl is truly the epitome of beauty, kindness, and talent in this new generation!”
While Cheryl’s comments were all praises, Zane’s were more quirky.
Fan 1: “Jesus, Zane, why are you so handsome?!”
Zane replied: “Born this way.”
Fan 2: “Belle doesn’t want you! How about me? I’m sweet and sassy, and we have no bad blood!”
Zane replied: “I’ll consider it.”

Fan 3: “Zane, your acting has improved so much lately! Is it because of working with Cheryl? Does she make you more natural?”
Zane replied: “My acting has always been good.”
Aurora was speechless at Zane’s frequent fan interactions on social media. He always found time to engage with his followers, unlike his busy colleagues Daxton and Cheryl.
Aurora once advised Zane to maintain some mystique and not interact too often with fans, as he was a popular idol, not a comedian.
But Zane, who agreed one day, would go back on his word the next. He confessed to Aurora that he was too bored not to respond. Aurora started to think he might actually be better suited for a career as a comedian…
