After a glance from Heath and his nod of approval, Aurora let her grandpa enjoy his drink. It had been a long time since he had indulged, under Aurora’s watchful eye.

Lysander clinked glasses with Heath, “Congratulations, may you have children soon.”

Aurora: “…”

Alaric insisted on toasting with Aurora, “Aurora, Heath is known as a prime bachelor in the city, and now that diamond is yours. Hold

onto it tightly!”

Aurora: “…”

Vespera was somewhat more grounded, toasting with Aurora, “Congratulations, Aurora, I wish you happiness.”

Aurora nodded with a smile, “Thank you.”

The dinner was a joyous affair, with everyone reveling in the happy occasion.

Aurora was resigned, but given the celebration, she didn’t insist further, letting Heath enjoy his evening.

Heath draped his arm over the back of Aurora’s chair, pulling her close, displaying his possessiveness, eliciting laughter and teasing from the crowd about Heath soon being under strict supervision.

Heath smiled, ‘I’m happy to be looked after.”

After indulging in a fair amount of red wine, the three men were visibly intoxicated. Aurora, having barely touched her drink, and Vespera, who seldom drank due to her health, found themselves responsible for escorting the three men home.

Aurora called Kieran to pick up Heath, accompanying him back to his residence. Vespera took a taxi to drop Alaric off, while fay was

tasked with getting Lysander back to his apartment.

Upon entering his home, Heath, in a bold move, scooped Aurora into his arms and strode towards the bedroom, kicking the door open

with his foot.

The kiss that had been left unfinished in the garden resumed with renewed passion and dominance. Tucked in his embrace, Aurora,

usually so docile and calm, found herself the focus of Heath’s intensified fervor, fueled by alcohol and teetering on the edge of losing

control.

Aurora gently pushed against him, her voice barely a whisper, “Heath, you’re drunk…”

She wasn’t ready, not wanting to rush things on the night of their proposal, especially not in Heath’s semi–intoxicated state.

Her soft, sweet voice only fueled Heath’s restlessness, but a sudden pain at her neck made her frown and push him away, exclaiming,

“What, are you a dog?”

Heath, finally easing off, replied with a resigned laugh, “And you, are you some enchantress?”

Aurora pushed him again, “Go take a shower! You reek!”

Heath pinned her down, playfully tickling her, “Calling your man smelly now? I’ve been holding back all this effort because of you, and

you dare to complain!”

Laughing and trying to escape, Aurora pleaded amidst her laughter, feeling like a wind–up doll in his arms, unable to stop laughing.

Heath then suggested, “Off to shower, help me undress.”

“Me? Help you undress?” Aurora pointed to herself, incredulous.

“Yes, help your fiancé out of his clothes. Is it that hard?” Heath said as if it were the most natural request.

Accommodating him despite not fulfilling his earlier desires, Aurora carefully unbuttoned his shirt, removing it dutifully, “There, all

done.”

Heath raised an eyebrow, “What about my pants?”

Aurora hesitated, struggling to unbuckle his belt without proceeding further. After removing the belt, Heath teased, “Shy now? That shyness won’t help us have kids early!”

Blushing furiously, Aurora snapped at him with the belt, “Go shower!”

With a hearty laugh, Heath hurried into the bathroom before Aurora’s patience wore thin.
