Me And My Billionaire Husband (Aurora and Heath) novel Chapter 300

Heath paused at the door to the dimly lit room, a moment of hesitation before he pushed it open.

The door swung open, and Heath and his entourage were stunned into silence.

The room was starkly empty, the handcuffs on the corner wall pried open, leaving no trace of Aurora.

But Heath was certain, just moments ago, he had clearly seen Aurora huddled in the corner of this very room!

The only explanation was a breach in the surveillance room. The footage Heath had seen must have been from another day altogether.

And Aurora? She might have left this place a long time ago.

BossKieran, looking worriedly at Heath’s complexion, spoke up. Despite his severe injuries that warranted bed rest, he had insisted on coming to find

Aurora, who now was nowhere to be found.

Heath, clenching his fists, demanded, Who took her?

Lysander, momentarily taken aback, ventured, Heath, you don’t suspect Eamon, do you?

Heath, his face a shade of stormy, turned back, colliding headon with Eamon. Shaking off Kieran and Lysander’s support, he staggered forward and threw a

punch at Eamon, shouting, Where have you taken her!

The punch lacked force; Eamon didn’t even flinch, responding, Heath, someone else has rescued her. Can’t you believe that by now? The people behind her

are much more powerful than we imagined.

Heath, grabbing Eamon by the collar, yelled, You better hope she’s safe, or you’ll have me to answer to!

Eamon had yet to reply when Heath started coughing violently, the effort aggravating his wounds, bending him over as he coughed twice, then calling out,

Kieran!

Kieran immediately came to support Heath, simply stating, Boss.

Search for her, now!Heath commanded.

Kieran nodded, handing Heath over to Lysander and stepping outside to make calls, ordering more people to look for Aurora,

Meanwhile, Aurora sat silently in the back seat of a car.

Half an hour earlier.

Carly had picked the lock on Aurora’s handcuffs, stating, It’s time to go.

Aurora, hesitating, stood up and asked, Where is he?

Carly, cautiously checking the surroundings before turning back to her, informed, Heath woke up a while ago, and he hasn’t mentioned you once today.”

Aurora, her head lowered, sniffed, murmuring, Is that so? Goodhe’s awake.

Chapter 300

Look, Aurora, with suspicions on you, Eamon would love to keep you far from Heath. After this ordeal, your penchant for trouble, Heath’s trust in you won’t be the same, Carly said, patting her shoulder.

Aurora looked up at Carly, questioning, But he loves me, doesn’t he?

Aurora, love can’t dictate all of someone’s thoughts and actions, especially not for someone like Heath. If he wanted to see you, he would have as soon as

he woke up. Carly explained.

The light in Aurora’s eyes dimmed as she murmured, ‘I thoughtif you love, you’re committed

Carly, not quite catching her words, urged, We need to go, Jasper and the others are waiting outside.

Without resistance, Aurora was led out of the room, stooping low, while Jasper and Jay incapacitated the guards outside, sparing Aurora any undue hardship.

After ensuring Aurora was in the car, they needed to leave quickly, finding a secluded spot to hide for a while before figuring out how to safely send Aurora

away.

Since boarding the car, Aurora had remained silent, her appearance disheveled and dirty, yet she seemed unbothered, silently staring out the window.

Though she was reluctant to leave, knowing this day was inevitable, it had come sooner than expected.

This was probably the best outcome for her and Heath; she had managed to save him, even if she couldn’t see him awake. It didn’t matter.

As for the lies and secrets of the past, Heath had likely discovered them, maybe even understood them. Letting him believe she was Olivia who infiltrated

the Pendletons was fine. At least, in Heath’s eyes, she was still a person.

For the rest of her life, even if Heath hated her, at least she had once been in his heart.

Aurora sniffed, holding back tears, surrounded by friends, with so much more to do!

Jay turned, whispering something to Carly, then reached out his hand to Aurora.

Forced to look, Aurora inquired, What is it?

Jay opened his palm, revealing the shining diamond ring that lay there, forgotten by Aurora until that moment when she had entrusted it to Jay for

safekeeping.

Jay’s hand shook slightly, offering, Here, your ring.

Tears that Aurora had vowed not to shed now fell freely as she took the ring, slipping it onto her finger, curling into a ball on the seat, sobbing quietly.

She didn’t want to leave; she wanted to stay by Heath’s side, to share meals and sleep together.

She had agreed to his proposal not just because of her grandfather’s wishes but because she had chosen Heath for her life.

As she cried earnestly, a sharp braking sound jolted her forward against the car seat, disoriented, rubbing her head, she looked up to see three SUVs blocking

the road.

Doors of the two side vehicles opened, and welltrained men jumped out, guns aimed at Aurora’s car.

Jasper and his companions quickly drew their weapons, ready for a fight, as the middle SUV’s doors opened.

Kieranwas the first to step out, then walked to the rear door, extending his hand to help someone out.

A man in a black coat emerged, his pale face visible to Aurora through the window, causing her heart to ache.

She reached for the door handle, but Carly pulled her back, warning, Aurora, don’t be foolish!*

Heath had arrived with a formidable force; Aurora couldn’t afford to walk back into danger.

Staring at Heath standing in front, he whispered something to Kieran, who approached under the escort of two guards, opening the car door to say, Miss Aurora, the boss asks for you.

The standoff was clear; with just three men and three guns against ten aimed at them, no matter their skill, they stood no chance.

Stepping out of the car, Aurora stood in front, with Jasper and his companions quickly joining her, attempting to protect her.

In this tense moment, Aurora, head bowed, traced small circles on the ground with her toe. She dared not look up, afraid of what she might see in Heath’s eyeshatred, resentment, but no love.

She thought, Heath, who could not tolerate deceit, had probably come to arrest her, perhaps for a thorough interrogation.
