Me And My Billionaire Husband (Aurora and Heath) novel Chapter 302

Aurora was taken aback, turning to face Heath. With his gaze locked on hers, he pronounced every word with deep sincerity, I love you, more than you

could possibly imagine.

Kieran, sitting upfront, couldn’t help but cough awkwardly. The CEO sure had a knack for charming ladies! Ever since he met Aurora, it had been a nonstop

barrage of sweet nothings.

Aurora’s cheeks flushed with warmth. She leaned into Heath’s lap, burying her head in silence. Heath gently stroked her hair, patiently untangling the knots

with his fingers.

Gradually, Aurora drifted into a peaceful slumber, a luxury she hadn’t indulged in for ages. With all matters resolved and Heath by her side, she relaxed

completely, sleeping soundly.

Upon their return to the base, Heath insisted on carrying Aurora back to the medical room himself. Lysander was delighted to see Aurora returned safely and

teased, Carrying the beauty back in your arms?

Heath smiled wryly, Carried the beauty, but reopened my wound.

Lysander sighed. Heath had overexerted himself today, causing his shoulder wound to reopen. Lysander prepared for another round of treatment, locking

Heath in the medical room before attending to Aurora next door.

Compared to Heath, Aurora’s injuries were minor, mostly scratches and bruises likely caused by branches, nothing a little disinfectant couldn’t handle. The

more alarming bruises and swellings were superficial tissue damages.

After waking, Lysander gave Aurora a thorough checkup, ensuring there were no serious injuries, then cleaned and medicated her wounds before sending

her off to rest.

Aurora seized the chance for a refreshing bath and changed into clean hospital attire, feeling rejuvenated.

Lying in bed, she found sleep elusive, her mind replaying the moments of Heath’s gentle touch. Even knowing Heath was safe and sound next door did little

to ease her unease, feeling unsettled without seeing him.

After tossing and turning for what felt like the hundredth time, Aurora quietly left her room and sneaked to Heath’s door.

Finding the door locked, likely by Lysander to ensure Heath’s rest, she returned to her room, fetched a small hairpin, and skillfully picked the lock.

Inside, Aurora tiptoed to Heath’s bedside. The moonlight and dim light from afar revealed the extent of Heath’s injuries his robust torso, normally

appealing with its tanned skin, now marred with scars and bruises, and a securely bandaged area where he had been stabbed, all endured to save her.

Drawn by the comforting blend of his natural scent and the sterile smell of disinfectants, Aurora snuggled into Heath’s embrace, finding solace and swiftly falling into a deep sleep.

Dreamless, the night passed swiftly. Upon awakening, Aurora found herself staring directly into Heath’s exasperated gaze.

My fiancée, getting a bit eager, aren’t we? I believe the door was locked last night?Heath teased, raising an eyebrow at her.

Aurora shrank a little, pulling the blanket up to cover half her face, leaving only her big, fluttering eyes visiblea sight of sheer adorableness.

She laughed awkwardly, WellI might have beensleepwalking, perhaps?

Heath nodded solemnly, Oh, so now you plan on starving your man?

Caught off guard, Aurora asked, What time is it?

One in the afternoon, Heath replied.

Aurora:

Silently, she got up from the bed, I’ll go wash up. We can eat after.

Watching Aurora’s sleepy figure yawning and staggering to the door, Heath couldn’t help but chuckle quietly.

Kieran barged in, saying awkwardly, Uhboss, I told them you hadn’t woken up yet, and Dr. Lysander said he’d send over some medicine

Heath waved it off, feeling generous today, he let them off easy.

Lysander, frowning, admonished, Both of you are seriously injured. Can’t you show some restraint? It’s not like you won’t see each other again. Think about your health!

Heath: …”

As Lysander changed Heath’s dressing, he lectured, You’re both adults. Can’t you control yourselves? It’s just a few days. What if your wounds reopen

Heath, in a good mood, didn’t interrupt, just sat there on the bed, quietly enduring Lysander’s scolding.

After finishing up, Lysander said, Alright, time to eat. Keep it light, okay? I don’t want to nag.

Heath nodded, then turned to Kieran, Ask Rory what she wants for lunch.

Lysander:

He felt like his words were utterly superfluous.

Kieran eagerly ran next door to ask, then came back beaming, Boss, Miss Aurora says whatever you decide is fine.

Heath nodded, Ask her if she wants fish today.

Kieran scampered off again, returning soon after to report, Boss, Miss Aurora says anything’s fine.

Lysander:

Seriously, after all that back and forth, just eat something already! Why all the running around?

Just as Heath was about to get out of bed, Lysander stopped him, Where do you think you’re going?

Heath looked at him, resigned, To eat.

Lysander exploded, Haven’t I made myself clear? You need to rest! Rest! No walking around! What are you trying to do, drive out for a meal?

Heath rubbed his temple, You never said I couldn’t move around.

Lysander glared, What do you mean I didn’t say!

Kieran quietly nodded, You really didn’t

Lysander:

Heath, ever magnanimous, sat back down, Alright, alright, I won’t go out. Kieran, bring the food here, and ask Rory to join.

Lysander’s face darkened like the bottom of a pot. Heath paused, then added, And send a portion to Lysander’s office.

Kieran immediately nodded, smiling as he dashed out to gather the meals, leaving Lysander to storm out of the room with a scowl.

Not long after, Aurora arrived, looking even more delicate and adorable in the oversized hospital gown, a style evidently tailored for men, given the base’s predominantly male population.

When Kieran brought in the meals, Aurora joined Heath at his small dining table without hesitation, eagerly digging in. It had been too long since she had

enjoyed a proper meal, and she was famished.

Heath tenderly offered her food, watching over her with affection. Take your time, there’s no need to rush,he assured her.

Aurora, focused intently on her meal, devoured her food without once looking up at Heath, as if the fish on her plate was infinitely more interesting than

any conversation they might have.

Retreating to her room immediately after finishing, Aurora felt the air between them thick with awkwardness. She had promised to reveal the truth to Heath,

and she fully intended to, but the problem was how to approach the subject.

Could she really say, Actually, I’ve died once, but my soul has been reborn?

Would Heath not think her mad and in need of psychiatric evaluation by Lysander?

Beyond this outlandish truth, she was at a loss for words. She wanted to maintain honesty between them, but sought a more subtle way to unveil her

extraordinary tale.

Meanwhile, Heath, reclining on his bed, summoned Kieran with the call bell. Boss,Kieran entered.

Heath waved a hand, signaling he was finished with his meal. Take this away, please.

After clearing the table, Kieran and Lysander returned, with Lysander querying about Heath’s plans to leave the hospital. Kieran mentioned you’re planning to be discharged. What’s the hurry? Where do you need to go?

To home, Heath declared.
