Me And My Billionaire Husband (Aurora and Heath) novel Chapter 66

A 42

Aurora had just recovered from a serious illness and was sleeping like a log. When she woke up, it was already past nine in the morning.

Her stomach was growling, so after a quick washup, she headed downstairs for breakfast.

Before she even reached the bottom of the stairs, she heard her grandfather’s laughter. Curious, Aurora descended to see who had put him in such a good mood.

Just as she stepped off the stairs, she heard a familiar, deep voice. Aurora’s mind went blank for a moment.

Heath Fairbank?

Rubbing her eyes, she looked again.

Yep, still Heath Fairbank.

Dressed in a dark suit, he looked a bit travelworn. He was sitting at the dining table, bathed in the warm morning sunlight. The light seemed to gild his chiseled profile, adding a touch of warmth.

Wasn’t he supposed to be back in the capital?

Why was he here in Seaview when she woke up?

Heath looked up at Aurora. Her long hair was a bit messy from sleep, and she looked dreamy as she rubbed her eyes.

He had only been gone for two days, and she had already lost weight.

Her chin was more delicate, her face a bit pale. She looked at him with a mix of confusion and hurt.

Her grandfather chuckled. Heath had brought him a lot of health supplements, claiming they were for his wellbeing. But at his age, how could he not know that the bird’s nest mixed in was actually for Aurora?

Come on, girl, let’s have breakfast, her grandfather called out to her.

Aurora glanced at her grandfather. Alright, let’s eat,

The butler Leen ordered the servants to serve breakfast. Aurora sat quietly next to her grandfather, eating her meal slowly,

Heath sat across from her, sipping coffee brought by a servant.

Aurora kept her head down, as if she was in a battle with her bowl of porridge. She didn’t want to look up and see Heath sitting across

from her.

But even with her head down, she could still feel his intense gaze locked onto her.

Aurora, why so quiet? Aren’t you going to say hi to Heath?her grandfather nudged her.

Aurora mumbled without lifting her head, Morning, Mr. Fairbank.

Heath’s lips twitched into a smile. Aurora was angry again. When she’s upset, she distances herself by changing how she addresses him.

Normally, she’d call him Heath, but when she’s not happy, she’d call him Mr. Fairbank.

Heath turned to her grandfather, I heard the Pendleton family is planning to expand to the capital. Are you considering moving there?

I’ve thought about it, but at my age, I’m too lazy to move. If we can’t find a suitable place, we’ll just stay put, the old man replied.

Heath took a leisure sip of his coffee, If you like courtyard houses, I can help you look. If you prefer villas, my company is developing some new properties. I can reserve one for you.

When he mentioned the villa, Heath deliberately paused.

Aurora was startled. Did Heath know she borrowed money to buy a villa?

Her grandfather laughed, Heath, you don’t have to take care of me. The real estate market isn’t doing well, you can’t just give me a

house!

**If you’re not gonna take my offer, how about you just make me a millionaire instead?Heath joked, making the old man laugh even

more.

Aurora felt a jolt. Was Heath going to reveal that she borrowed money to buy a villa?

Heath glanced at Aurora, who dropped her spoon into the bowl with a clatter.

What’s wrong, girl?her grandfather turned to look at her.

Aurora forced a smile and picked up her spoon, stirring her porridge, Umthe porridgeis too hot

Eat slowly then. You’re a grown woman; you shouldn’t be embarrassed in front of Heath, her grandfather chided.

Heath put down his coffee, folded his hands on the table, and looked at Aurora. His dark eyes were filled with undisguised delight, It’s okay, Aurora is still young.

Aurora, Heath told me you want to study film directing in the capital. Should I find you a tutor?her grandfather asked.

Aurora glanced at Heath, who was sitting there calmly, sipping his coffee,

He was so calm, yet his presence was too strong to ignore.

Why did he get to decide when to pay attention to her and when to ignore her?
