“You! You’re not even worthy to call Evelyn ‘sister.‘ Everyone knows you’re just an unloved orphan in the Pendleton family! Pretending to be some rich heiress!” Winters sneered.

“Heh, Boss, you’re managing your talents here, and now you’re sticking your nose into the Pendleton family affairs? You know so much about us?” Aurora shot back. “Did Evelyn tell you I’m unloved at home? You really believe her? Who knows who’ll be in charge of the Pendletons in the future? If I take over, you’ll regret crossing me for her sake.”

“You? Take over the Pendletons? What makes you think you can?” Winters scoffed.

“Because with a flick of my wrist, I can make Evelyn’s scandals trend? I could easily knock her off her hard–earned pedestal, Aurora said, casually sitting on the sofa.
