When Aurora arrived at the TV station, Evelyn sat in the makeup room, bored out of her mind and scrolling through her phone. She didn’t
look worried at all.
Seeing Aurora soaked from the rain, Evelyn grinned and said, “Well, well, if it isn’t the heiress of the Pendletons. What’s got you running
errands?”
Evelyn’s assistant chimed in, sucking up as usual, “Heiress of the Pendletons? There’s only you, the eldest, and the youngest, Sophia. This one doesn’t look like a rich young lady at all.”
Evelyn laughed, “Aurora, Sophia is young and naive, easy for you to manipulate. You think I’m like her? You dare to show up here? I’ll skin you alive if you do!”
Evelyn sashayed into the fitting room. Her assistant tossed the dress Evelyn had taken off to Aurora and snatched the bag containing the new gown, taking it into the fitting room.
The dress Evelyn had taken off was perfectly fine; she was just making things difficult for Aurora on purpose.
Aurora unzipped the old dress and tossed it onto a chair.
“Ouch!” A scream came from the fitting room.
Evelyn burst out in her underwear, soaked from head to toe, her makeup smeared.
“Wow, big sis, you’re looking pretty rough just from changing clothes,” Aurora said, holding back laughter.
“Aurora! You put a water bag in the zipper of the gown bag, didn’t you?” Evelyn shrieked, more disheveled than she’d ever been in her
career.
“Big sis, Ms. Winter said you’d be happy to see me. I came all this way to bring you a dress, why aren’t you happy?” Aurora grinned.
Aurora! How dare you do this to me! Hit her!” Evelyn yelled at her assistant.
The assistant raised her hand to slap Aurora, but Aurora grabbed it and slapped her hard, knocking her to the floor.
Aurora’s smile vanished. She glanced at the assistant on the floor and said, “Whether or not I’m a Pendleton heiress is none of your business!”
She looked back at Evelyn, leisurely took out her phone, and snapped a quick burst of photos. “Tsk, tsk, tsk. Big sis, you really do live up to your title as the sexy goddess of the entertainment industry. What a figure.”
“What are you doing, Aurora?” Evelyn screamed.
“What am I doing? Depends on my mood. If I’m in a good mood, maybe I’ll keep them for myself. If not, I’ll send them to the media for everyone to enjoy,” Aurora said, smiling.
“You wouldn’t dare!” Evelyn quickly grabbed a coat to cover herself.
“We’ll see, big sis. Like I said, I’ll deal with you and your mom and sister, one by one,” Aurora pocketed her phone and walked out of the

makeup room.
:
As she reached the door, Aurora turned back and said, “You know what, big sis? Even a swine is smarter than your assistant.”
Then she strutted out of the makeup room.
Evelyn was so furious she knocked over the makeup on the table. Pointing at her assistant, she yelled, “You idiot! Couldn’t you have checked the dress before giving it to me? Go get those photos back, or you’re out of here!”

The assistant immediately apologized, “I’m sorry, Evelyn. I’ll find a way to get those photos back. I won’t let your reputation be ruined!”
“Then hurry up and bring me my original dress! Call the makeup artist to fix my makeup!” Evelyn roared.
The assistant scurried to bring the dress into the fitting room and then dashed out to fetch the makeup artist. Evelyn was notoriously difficult in the industry; if you didn’t serve her well, she could go through ten assistants in a month. The assistant didn’t want to lose this job.
Aurora took a cab back to her place and excitedly turned on the TV to watch Evelyn’s show.
When Heath came home, he saw Aurora glued to the TV and asked, “What are you watching?”
“Come, come, come! Grab a seat! This is gonna be good,” Aurora beckoned.
Heath took off his suit jacket, sat down, and after watching for a couple of minutes, asked, “Evelyn’s show?”
“Yeah, yeah! It’s a famous live show in the industry, known for having no post–production, just real–time broadcasting,” Aurora explained
to Heath.
“What’s so special about Evelyn being on a live show?” Heath inquired.
“Don’t you know her public persona?” Aurora turned to him.
“Nope, never paid attention,” Heath admitted, clearly out of his depth.
“Evelyn has always portrayed herself as a sexy but gentle soul, a national beauty praised by fans. Can you imagine what would happen if she made a fool of herself on live TV?” Aurora was thrilled.
“Don’t know, don’t care, Heath leaned back on the sofa, reluctantly keeping her company.
Aurora sighed. Heath really had zero interest in celebrity gossip.
On the show, the moment Evelyn appeared, the audience erupted in cheers and screams, shouting, “We love you, Evelyn!”
Aurora clicked her tongue. She really was a popular media darling.

Chapter 77
:
Evelyn basked in the cheers and the host’s flattery, greeting everyone and humbly bowing to thank her fans.
Then, in a blink of an eye, her strapless gown fell to the floor.
The host froze. The other celebrities froze. The audience froze.
🙂)
Then the place erupted in roof–raising screams, and the sound of camera shutters filled the air. Despite the staff’s attempts to stop them, the audience went wild taking photos.
Evelyn, now in just her lingerie, screamed and ran backstage.
Her assistant immediately wrapped her in a coat and took her to the fitting room. When Evelyn came out in a new outfit, she slapped her assistant, “You dare to sabotage me? What’s the deal with the dress?”
The assistant covered her face and cried, “It wasn’t me, Evelyn. The dress was fine when I gave it to you. It must be Aurora, no one else
would want to harm you!”
Evelyn was shaking with rage. She knew the tricks of the entertainment industry, but she had strong backing; no one had ever dared to
mess with her.
Aurora had made her a laughingstock on live TV! She’d make her pay!
Aurora was laughing so hard she could barely breathe. She opened her social media and saw that “Evelyn Wardrobe Malfunction” and “Evelyn’s Figure” had already shot up to the top trending topics.
