The camera caught Josefina laughing, "The next line has to be 'sweat dripping onto the soil.'"
"Nope!"
"But it is, 'Ploughing the fields under the blazing sun, sweat dripping onto the soil,' isn't it?" Josefina asked, confused.
"The next line is 'Logan works so hard,'" Logan grumbled.
"Oh, right! Logan, sorry, my mind wandered," Josefina apologized.
Logan chuckled, "With that brain of yours, and you pretend to be my mentor? Ha, what a laugh."
Then Logan called out, "Luke, someone's trying to pass off as my mentor!"
Luke came rushing over, brandishing a small knife, "Who's the idiot pretending to be the boss? I'll deal with them!"
The call was abruptly cut on the other end.
Logan sent Josefina a video call, and she answered.
Logan was all smiles, "You really are my mentor."
Luke recounted the story, and though Josefina was upset, she spoke softly, "Logan, you handled it beautifully, really well."
She gave Logan a big thumbs up.
"Mentor, that person might look like you, but she's way too weak to be my mentor!" Logan said proudly.
Oliver, who was behind the wheel, overheard and glanced at Josefina’s phone.
Logan's goofy grin sparked a hint of jealousy in Oliver.
Josie was beaming at him so warmly and brightly—couldn't Logan find someone else to look up to? Why did he have to pick Oliver's wife?
Oliver chimed in, "Hey hon, we're here."
Josefina was caught off guard by the sudden address. It was awkward!
Quickly, she said, "I've got to take care of some things, Luke, keep an eye on Logan. Logan, be good, okay?"
