Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 1084

Livia, who was well-acquainted with luxury, could easily see that the necklace was worth at least a million dollars.

"Livia, please don't misunderstand," Angelyna said earnestly. "I'm giving you this gift as a genuine apology, not for any other reason. The hurt Finley caused you can't be fixed with money."

Livia replied with a cool demeanor, "I'm not going to dwell on the past, and you don’t need to apologize for him."

Angelyna sighed, "A child’s misbehavior often reflects on the parents. Finley's father was too embarrassed to come. We bear some responsibility for his actions."

Livia found herself unexpectedly envious of Finley for having such considerate parents. It was true what they said: even a good tree can produce a bad apple.

"No matter what’s done, it can’t change what happened. Please, Angelyna, stop contacting me and disrupting my life."

With that, Livia got up to leave. As she walked away, Angelyna called after her, but Livia didn’t look back.

Soon after, Finley showed up.

"Mom," he said, trying to appear apologetic.

"Mom? I don’t deserve that title! Look at the mess you’ve made—it's disgraceful!"

Finley was at a loss for words, having grown used to his mother’s scolding since the whole incident.

"Mom, you’ve always liked Livia, right? Maybe you could help me win her back. It’d be a win-win!"

"Win-win? You’ve got some nerve trying to chase after Livia again. You think she's as easily fooled as you hope?"

Angelyna looked at him with disappointment.

Finley let out a long sigh. "So what should I do then?"

"I don’t know." Angelyna grabbed her purse and headed for the door.

Finley followed, but Angelyna moved quickly, getting into her car and leaving him in a cloud of exhaust.

"This is supposed to be my mother?" Finley muttered, feeling completely drained and longing for a place to rest.

Livia's mind was a whirlwind of confusion and irritation.

"Remember what you said today!" she snapped, before storming off, her mood as turbulent as ever.

Escaping this mess should have brought relief, but oddly, it didn’t.

Must be because she hadn’t eaten well today. Only good food could lift her spirits!

Livia hurried off, quickly disappearing from sight.

Finley stood there, heartbroken, wandering forward aimlessly.

They were like two parallel lines, heading in opposite directions, never to meet again.

From this moment on, they'd walk separate paths, never to cross each other’s lives again.
