Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 1089

Brandon strolled into the Harrison home, balancing a few things in his arms. Josefina was just about to head out when she got word of his visit, so she hit pause on her plans.

Before long, Brandon and Bennett walked in. Trailing behind Bennett was a burly bodyguard carrying a package, which he handed over to Bennett before making a swift exit.

As they stepped inside, both Brandon and Bennett slipped on those nifty shoe covers that automatically form-fit around your shoes, keeping the floors spick and span.

"Grandpa, what brings you here? If you needed me, you could've just called, and I'd have come over," Josefina said, a bit surprised.

"You need your rest, Josie. I had a bit of free time, so I thought I'd drop by," Brandon replied with a chuckle, settling into a comfy chair.

Bennett handed Josefina a box. "This is a gift from the old man," he said, with a twinkle in his eye.

Josefina opened the box to find a hefty ginseng root inside. She knew its worth all too well. "Grandpa, this is too valuable. You need it more than I do. It's a real lifesaver."

"It's exactly because it's a lifesaver that I'm giving it to you. I've heard about the issues you've been dealing with, Josie. Please, take care of yourself," Brandon urged.

Brandon's biggest wish was to hold his great-grandchild someday. If he could just see that day, he'd be content.

"Grandpa, really, you don't need to worry. You should keep the ginseng. I already have some," Josefina insisted, remembering the ginseng he had given her before. This one was probably his last prized piece.

No matter his reasons—be it for her or the baby she was carrying—Josefina was truly grateful.

"Come on, Josie, just accept it. I won't miss the money. I can always get more ginseng if I need to," Brandon said, waving off her protests. His wealth could move mountains and certainly buy more ginseng.
