There was no other way—Mandy only had Dorian's message, not Oliver's.
Mandy: Hey, cuz, Josie's having a rough time. Someone's really giving her a hard time.
Mandy had tried reaching out to Dorian a few times before, but he usually didn't bother to reply. This time, though, he got back to her in a flash.
Dorian: ?
Mandy: I just sent you a link. You gotta check it out, like, right now!
Dorian: Send me a video.
Mandy: Whoa!!
Dorian really doesn't mess around when it comes to security! Guess he's worried about getting scammed or something? Makes sense, given he's a CEO and all.
Mandy quickly whipped out her phone, recorded a short video of her surroundings—capturing the faint sound of Josefina typing away—and sent it over to him.
Dorian watched Mandy's video, then clicked on the link to see what was up.
When he read phrases like [Gambling Dad, Paralyzed Mom, Crazy Brother], he couldn't keep it together.
Him, crazy? And Cole Carter too? They could take shots at Cole, but him? Ridiculous! What a bunch of morons!
"C'mon, cuz, you gotta step in! But Josie said she's handling it and told them to check the school forum in half an hour. Maybe hold off for now, and if Josie can’t sort it, you can jump in."
Dorian: Got it.
Mandy: Really?
She sent him a whole essay, and all he replied with was a "Got it"? Classic Dorian, her cool and collected CEO cousin. Always straight to the point.
Dorian eyed the post, called in his secretary, and instructed him to gather all the necessary evidence. If Josefina couldn’t handle it, he'd be ready to step up. No way was he letting anyone mess with his little cousin!
…
Joelle was glued to her computer screen, constantly refreshing the school forum page.
She was eager to see how Josefina would fire back.
Joelle lowered her voice, “Lydia, are you sure those posts about the principal are safe? We're just students, and going against the principal feels like asking for trouble.”
