Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 1098

Josefina nodded with a warm smile. "Thanks, I really appreciate it."

"No need to thank me, it's nothing. Just doing what I should."

With that, Mr. Marquez left, looking quite pleased with himself.

Green Valley.

As night settled in, the trees in Green Valley swayed with the wind, their bare branches dancing eerily like ghosts in the shadows.

From the yard came the unmistakable sounds of a tussle.

"Logan!" Alfie yelled out.

Three young men, each highly skilled in martial arts, were locked in a fierce battle with Logan. He was no longer the gentle, easygoing guy they knew; it was as if he had turned into a completely different person.

"Master, he's having another episode. It used to be once a month, but now it's every few days. If we don't figure something out soon, he's going to run us ragged."

A woman cut in sharply, "Keep it down! We can't let him see us losing our nerve. It's embarrassing that the three of us can't take him down."

She tossed a rope, which one of the men caught deftly.

Moving with ghostly speed, the trio managed to trap Logan.

Alfie pulled out a silver needle, and just as Logan was about to break free, he expertly jabbed it into a pressure point, immobilizing him.

Logan slumped to the ground, unconscious, and everyone let out a collective sigh of relief.

Caleb dropped to the ground, letting out a heavy sigh. "Master, maybe it's time to let Josie know what's going on."

Cash nodded, "Yeah, Josie would definitely know what to do."

Cash, puzzled, asked, "Master, why is Josie so concerned about Logan? We're her family, aren't we?"

Caleb nudged him lightly. "Watch what you're saying."

Preston avoided eye contact, not wanting to dig into that topic.

Alfie sighed again, "Get Logan inside and tie him up for safety. I'll head to the lab to check on the new experiments."

His silhouette looked weary as he retreated back into the house.

The trio heaved Logan inside, securing him with ropes.

Exhausted, they sat in the dimly lit room, sipping water to catch their breath.

Cash whispered, "Do you guys know something I don't? Why is Josie so invested in Logan? You can't just keep me in the dark!"
