Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 1121

"What were the results?" Josefina asked, trying to keep the anticipation out of her voice.

Percy replied, "I'm heading back to the lab now, and I've got a copy of the data with me. Wanna take a look?"

"I'm already at the lab," Josefina said. "Why don't you and Mandy come back, and we can go over it together."

Josefina was anxious, but as they say, patience is a virtue. She figured it was best to wait for Percy to return and discuss everything face-to-face.

With that resolved, Josefina felt a little more at ease. Hanging up the phone, she stayed put in the lab, waiting.

Oliver, who was nearby, chimed in, "I'll stick around. Once you get to the bottom of this, we can head home together."

Josefina settled into a chair, and Oliver suggested, "Why don't we take a break outside?"

They strolled out to a little gazebo nearby. The daffodils were in full bloom, their bright yellow petals a cheerful sight.

"My mentor cultivated this new variety," Josefina said, gesturing to the flowers. "I didn't expect them to thrive here so well."

Thinking of her mentor led Josefina's mind to Logan. She wondered how he was doing.

Oliver glanced at her, perceptive as ever. "You thinking about Logan?"

Josefina's surprised expression was all the confirmation Oliver needed.

"Don't worry," he reassured her with a chuckle. "I know you don't have feelings for Logan. I'm not the jealous type. If you want, you can bring Logan back."

Josefina was taken aback. "Oliver, what brought this change of heart?"

Did Oliver know something she didn't?

"Josie," he began, using the nickname only he called her by, "I want to be honest with you. Before your mentor left, he told me about your history with Logan. Maybe it's time you brought him back."

Reflecting on the past, Josefina felt a twinge of regret.
