Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 1150

Josefina lifted her head and caught Mandy's concerned gaze, quickly regaining her composure.

"Mandy, didn't you have an experiment lined up with Percy today?" she asked.

"Ugh, don’t even mention it," Mandy replied with an eye roll. "Percy called out of the blue and said he’s tied up with something else, so I’m off the hook from the lab for the next couple of days."

Something else? Josefina pondered, trying to figure out what could be so pressing for Percy. It must be something major if he's pulling away from their work.

"Mandy, I've got some stuff to handle. Can you stay here at the medical society? I'll send over today's work schedule. Sorry to dump it on you," Josefina said.

"Don’t sweat it, Josie. Go on and handle your business. I’ve got this covered," Mandy reassured her.

"Thanks," Josefina replied, heading out.

Josefina spent the entire afternoon trying to track down Logan but came up empty-handed. She met up with Alfie, who handed her a letter—well, more like a single sheet of paper. Despite the messy scribbles, the handwriting was unmistakably familiar.

Logan had written a single line: "Master, I've left. Don't search for me, and don't worry—I'm alright."

That simple line ripped open a floodgate of memories for Josefina.

"If I hadn’t been so stubborn back then, Logan wouldn’t have ended up like this..." she said, her face pale with regret.

"Josie," Alfie gently admonished, "you’ve got to stop blaming yourself. None of this is your fault. Logan’s health was shaky from the start. Without you, he wouldn’t have come this far."

"But my experiment failed," Josefina whispered, her voice barely audible.

"You're just beating yourself up over nothing. It was never your fault, not even close. Josie, you’ve done more than anyone could have," Alfie insisted, unable to see his apprentice so wrapped up in self-doubt.
