Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 1236

Josefina picked up her bowl and started eating, while Oliver sat there quietly, lost in his own thoughts.

Her mind was racing too, replaying everything that had happened with Logan. She caught Oliver’s eye, and with just a look, he let her know what he was thinking. She understood right away.

“Logan, you stay here and eat. I’m going to get Oliver to help me put away the groceries. Take your time, okay? There’s no rush.”

Logan looked up at her, his big eyes soft and a little clueless—almost like a puppy. The way he looked made Oliver want to just scoop him up and move him out of the way.

Was he really trying to act cute?

But then Oliver remembered Logan’s childlike mind. Those innocent expressions weren’t for show. There was no point in getting annoyed.

They walked over to the fridge, but instead of unpacking groceries, they ended up whispering about Logan.

“Maybe I should take Logan back with me,” Oliver murmured, keeping his voice low. “Find a couple of people to test him with, see if he really can read anyone’s health.”

Josefina shook her head. “He only talked about me, not you. Let me ask him about your health first, and then we’ll figure out what to do next.”

She paused, then added, “Oliver, I really don’t want anyone else finding out about Logan and his ability.”

Oliver took her hand, sighing a little. “Josie, don’t you trust me?”

Of course she did. She just wanted to remind him how important this was.

So Josefina went back to the table and sat down across from Logan.

“Logan, did you notice anything about Oliver’s health? You could tell I’m having a baby—what about him? Can you tell me? Please?”

Logan nodded, his face earnest. “Of course, teacher. He’s super healthy. Actually, his stamina is amazing, his arms are crazy strong—he’s impressive all around.”

Josefina’s cheeks instantly flushed bright red.
