Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 1266

Mr. Marquez frowned. “What’s going on here? Josefina, are you actually treating him?”

Everyone stared, confused.

Why did Mr. Marquez sound like he had so much faith in Josefina?

Wilson jumped in right away. “Principal, Dean, Josefina said she could cure Zachary’s hereditary migraines. She even promised if she fails, she’ll drop out on her own.”

Mr. Marquez’s eyes widened in shock. “Wait, what? If Josefina can’t cure Zachary, she’ll leave the school?”

What was he supposed to do now?

What if Josefina didn’t even want to cure Zachary? Why would she want to quit school? And why hadn’t she told him first?

His mind was a mess. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t figure out what had gone wrong.

He decided he’d have to ask her about it in private after all this was over.

Mr. Marquez kept quiet, his face looking so serious it almost seemed like he thought Josefina was messing around and he was about to lose it.

Wilson, on the other hand, could barely hide his excitement. He just knew Josefina was doomed.

She was done for!

Wilson spoke up, grinning, “Principal, it wasn’t us pressuring her. She said it herself! We tried to talk her out of it, but she insisted. It’s good you’re here now—you can be the witness. If she can’t do it, she’ll drop out.”

Mr. Marquez shot Wilson a sharp look. This kid definitely didn’t look innocent.

“Maybe wipe that smirk off your face.”

Wilson quickly rubbed at his mouth, feeling like he’d just totally given himself away.

Mr. Marquez turned to Josefina. “Josefina, is this really what you want?”

Josefina nodded. “Yes. And if Wilson loses, he’ll drop out instead. Mr. Marquez, you showed up right on time—you can be our witness. If Wilson loses, I hope you’ll handle things fairly. I’m sure Wilson is an honorable guy who keeps his promises.”

Wilson gaped. Did she just imply he wasn’t a real man or something?

Seriously, he was as tough as they came!
