Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 1292

“Who was it? Who sold me out?”

“Mark, I swear, I didn’t! I don’t know what’s going on—Mark, please, help me!”

“Mark, save me! I don’t want to die!”

“Don’t grab me! Get away from me!”

Chaos broke out as everyone scattered, desperate to get away from danger.

But Luke and his crew had already locked the place down. No one was getting out.

In no time, arms were twisted behind backs and they were all pinned down, completely helpless.

Mark tried to keep his cool. “Hey guys, come on, what crew are you with? We can talk this through, right? This is all a big misunderstanding, I promise!”

Luke’s silver mask caught the light as he spoke, his voice cold as ice. “You think you’re good enough to call me brother?”

Mark just stared at him. Seriously? Who was this guy?

Luke didn’t even blink. “Answer my questions, and maybe I’ll let you live. Otherwise, I’ll toss you in the kennel and let my Black General keep you company.”

As soon as he said it, one of Luke’s guys appeared, dragging over a huge, intimidating Tibetan mastiff. The dog’s fierce eyes were enough to make Mark’s knees buckle.

“Take them back. Let Black General have some fun,” Luke ordered, not bothering to listen to their protests. They were all hauled away, one after another.

Meanwhile, Oliver was leading Harry and Asher through Mark’s old place, searching for anything suspicious.

The neighbors had all wandered off to check out some event nearby, which made it a lot easier for Oliver’s team to poke around without anyone noticing.

Before long, Harry came jogging over, looking excited.

“Mr. Oliver, our equipment picked up something underground.”

Oliver nodded, serious. “Be careful. Safety first. Is the demolition expert here yet? Have him take a look.”
