Josefina pulled out her phone and quickly texted Luke, then Oliver, asking where Ruby was.

Oliver replied almost immediately, "Sent someone to drop her off at Billy's place. She should be panhandling around there by now."

Josefina chuckled, but Lauren's face tightened with worry.

Before Lauren could ask, Josefina looked up with a cold expression and said, "Ruby's with Billy. They've met up and are living together now."

A terrifying thought struck Lauren. Billy and Ruby together—were they conspiring to steal her money?

Panicked, Lauren began pounding on the glass, demanding, "Billy and Ruby—are they teaming up against me? Josefina, you have to tell me!"

Billy spotted the tearful Ruby and strode towards her, a look of excitement on his face.

"Dad!"

She ran towards Billy, her heart pounding with excitement, and Billy moved to meet her.

But when they finally came face to face, Billy's hand shot out, delivering a stinging slap that left Ruby stunned.

Furious, Billy slapped her again, "You wretched woman, look at the mess you've got me into! If I hadn't taken you in, I wouldn't be in this godforsaken state. Ruby, you curse!"

Dazed from the slaps, Ruby was slow to react. But once she gathered her wits and saw Billy's raging anger, she charged at him like a bull, "Billy, I'll take you on! Who asked you to drag me back? I never wanted to set foot in the Antonio family's doorway!"

And with that, the two erupted into a brawl.
