Oliver gently cradled Josefina's chin, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Did you just kiss me?"
Josefina didn't bother hiding it, her reply quick and teasing. "Well, you practically asked for it, scaring me like that."
Together, they lay down on the bed. Oliver's voice softened but stayed serious. "Josie, about that woman with the mole behind her ear—I can't be sure if I've seen her before. But we'll figure it out, slowly but surely. We'll uncover the truth."
Josefina hummed in agreement, finding comfort in Oliver's embrace as she stared at the ceiling.
"Oliver, stay put. Let me check your wound," she insisted, concern lacing her voice.
She meticulously applied ointment to Oliver's injury before bandaging it again. All the while, Oliver watched her intently, as if memorizing every detail of her.

When Dorian found out Mandy had been bullying his sister with a gang in tow, he immediately cut ties with Evan's business.
Evan, having just landed in Westwood, rushed to Dorian's office upon hearing the news.
Evan greeted him with a grin, trying to butter him up. "Reid, long time no see. Still looking sharp, I see."
Dorian's gaze was icy, treating Evan like any unfamiliar business associate.
"Reid, we're family. Don't be so heartless. After all, I am your uncle. It's all in the family, right?" Evan attempted to lighten the mood.
Dorian's response was chilly, his laughter devoid of warmth. "Family or not, the soil has to be fertile for anything good to grow."
Evan was momentarily speechless.
Dealing with his nephew always required extra caution. Any slip-up, and he'd find himself schooled.
Dorian's words often needed to be broken down for Evan to grasp their full meaning, and even then, he might miss the underlying message.
Arriving at the hotel, Evan located Ayala and Mandy.
Mandy was lounging, watching TV, unfazed by Evan's entrance.
"Mandy, get out here now!" Evan barked, his voice booming with anger.
Reluctantly, Mandy stood up, dropping the remote. "What now, Dad? Going to yell at me? Don't you see how I've been bullied? I've had it rough."
Evan was livid. "Mandy, who's bullying whom here? Josefina is the true Harrison heiress, and you're out here making an enemy of her? Have you lost your mind?"
Ayala tried to intervene. "Evan, what are you saying? Mandy is your own daughter."
"If she weren't my own, would I even bother? Dorian's cut the partnership; do you have any idea how much money we're losing annually? If Mandy keeps this up with Josefina, our lifestyle is going to take a hit. No more reckless spending for anyone."
