Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 649

Shay stood next to Finley, completely unaware that her ice cream was melting all over her hand.

Finley handed her a napkin, "Shay, your ice cream's dripping everywhere."

Snapping back to reality, Shay finally noticed the sticky mess.

She grabbed the napkin while Finley took the cone, wrapping the bottom with another piece of paper.

Shay's hands felt sticky, and it was really annoying her.

"Finley, I'm going to wash my hands."

She headed into the nearby café to use their restroom.

Finley watched Shay's forlorn figure disappear inside, his heart aching for her. He wished he could take away some of her pain.

Then his phone rang, showing Livia's familiar number.

After a brief hesitation, Finley decided not to answer.

Shay had opened up to him, willing to give their relationship a chance, and Finley was determined to cut ties with Livia for good.

The phone rang again.

This time, Finley picked up. Livia's voice came through, "Finley, we need to talk."

Finley furrowed his brow, his resolve to end things with Livia hardening even more. He decided to make a clean break.

Speaking coldly, Finley said to Livia, "What's there to talk about? Livia, I never had feelings for you. Stop calling me. Let's just act like strangers from now on."

Livia was shocked by his harsh words. She had something important to tell him.

"Finley, I..."

Mandy, expecting Josefina to use this opportunity to embarrass her, was taken aback by her grace.

Mandy realized her own perspective was too narrow...

Hattie took Josefina's hand and led her to sit down, "Josie, the food here is pretty good. Give it a try. If there's anything you like, I'll have the chef come to our house and cook it for you."

"Thank you, Mom," Josefina replied sweetly.

Mandy sat on the side, feeling unsettled.

Evan presented a large gift box to Josefina, "Josie, this is a welcome-back gift from your uncle. I've been thinking about what to get you since I heard you were coming back. After much thought, gold seemed appropriate. I had someone craft a golden jewelry set for you; see if you like it."

Josefina opened the box to find a crown, along with necklaces and bracelets inside.

By a conservative estimate, the value was around seven hundred thousand dollars.
